Victoria's eyes flickered with calculation. "A man like that? You can't afford to keep him!"

She fixed her gaze on Sebastian, her voice dripping with condescension. "Only someone like me has what it takes to support you. I'll make you part of high society."

Riley glanced at Sebastian's outfit today—all designer pieces, though without any obvious brand logos. The bodyguards protecting him today were keeping their distance, blending into the crowd rather than hovering obviously nearby.

And here they were, browsing regular department store counters where the clothes were reasonably priced for everyday shoppers.

Riley blinked in surprise, then smiled. "Yes."

"Yes, forever." Her answer came without hesitation.

"Riley, if I ever need someone to take care of me, you're the only person in this world who could." Sebastian's voice carried absolute certainty.

Before Riley could respond, Victoria exploded with humiliation and rage. "I’m standing right here! Are you pretending I don't exist? Go teach them a lesson!"

The moment she finished speaking, her group of bodygurads lunged toward Riley and Sebastian.

Riley frowned. Clearly, Miss Ivanov pulled this kind of stunt regularly.

Her leg might be injured, but her arms worked just fine. And with Miss Ivanov standing right there beside her—too good an opportunity to pass up.

Riley shot out her arm and shoved Victoria hard, sending her crashing face-first to the floor with a loud smack.

Instantly, all of Ivanov's men froze, not daring to advance.

Victoria shrieked in pain. "How dare you! Are you insane? You just assaulted an Ivanov! My family will make sure you regret this!"

"You were hitting on my boyfriend—what did you expect?" Riley shot back. "He's mine. Keep your hands off him, or your family name won't save you. Understand?"

She pressed down harder on Victoria until the woman begged for mercy, then finally released her.

Victoria backed away with her bodyguards, throwing one last threat over her shoulder: "You're dead!"

Riley shrugged. She had the Lincoln Family backing her in Russia. Anyone who wanted to come after her could try—good luck with that.
