Riley turned his words over in her mind.

"I haven't done one of these shooting games in forever," Riley said, already pulling Sebastian toward the stall. "Let's see what I can win."

The stall owner's face lit up when he saw customers approaching. He hurried over, all smiles.

That enthusiasm faded fast once Riley picked up the toy gun and popped every balloon in the first row without missing a shot.

She didn't stop there. Second row—gone. Third row—cleared. She kept going until the entire board was empty, every single balloon destroyed.

"Okay, okay!" The owner held up his hands in defeat. "Pick whatever prizes you want, but please—no more playing. I'm barely making rent as it is!"

Riley grinned and put down the rifle. "I'll just take one."

The owner looked relieved.

Riley turned to Sebastian. "Pick one for me?"

"I'm not good at this stuff," Sebastian said flatly.

"That's fine. I'm just messing around anyway." She shrugged. "I'm terrible at decisions. You choose."

Sebastian hesitated, then walked over to the pile of stuffed animals. After a moment, he picked up a plush of Judy Hopps—the rabbit cop from that animated movie.

Something about it reminded him of her when they were kids.

Determined but sweet. Full of that bright-eyed sense of justice.

So cheerful. So impossible to look away from.

Riley took the rabbit plush, playfully tugging its ears. "You like Judy Hopps?"

"Not really," Sebastian said.

Riley shrugged. "Then I'm giving it to you. Will you take it?"

"What?" Sebastian blinked, caught off guard.

"I want you to have something." Riley smiled and held the plush out to him. "So when you see it, you'll think of me."

He didn't say anything. Just when Riley thought he'd refuse, his hand reached out and took the rabbit from her.

"Is this you trying to make me get back together with you?" he asked.
