"Mara! Open the fucking door!" Brian screamed while banging on the condo entrance.
"Open the door, you witch! How dare you con me?" Beatrice yelled.
On the other hand, Darwin kept calling the building's administration office because Mara and Claire would not open the apartment's door.
"Don't you have a key, Brian?" Darwin asked.
"I gave it to them," Brian answered in frustration.
Just then, a family of three arrived at the condo unit. A man in his late twenties inquired, "Excuse me? Why are you banging on our unit? What seems to be the problem?"
Brian was confused. He winced and asked, "Your condominium? This is my unit."
The man and his wife looked at each other, confused. The lady beside the man said, "We bought this condo a week ago from Claire Monet. Are you trying to trick us? The condo is under her name!"
"What?" Brian asked in horror. He repeated, "Claire sold the condo?"
"Yes, we mostly did the transaction with her mother, Mara," the man said. "Who are you, by the way?"
With eyes rounding, Brian finally understood why Mara and Carrie had moved into the villa!
Again, he felt so foolish!
"No!" Brian yelled. "She can't do that! I paid for this condo, and we -" He paused because he still felt disgusted knowing he was married to such a woman. Still, he had to assert his rights to the property. So he said, "I am Claire's husband!"
"This can't be," the man said. "According to the documents, Claire acquired this property while still single. She does not need a husband's consent to sell this condo."
Brian and his parents clashed verbally with the family living in the flat, but they could not deny the truth. The apartment was, in fact, in Claire's name. Brian did that deliberately, hoping Riley would not discover his affair. With a sale deed in the new owner's hands, Brian had very little chance of recovering the property.
It was a gut-wrenching discovery, but sadly, it did not end there for Brian.
When the Martins retired to Brian's villa to regroup, they discovered that many things were missing in the house. Brian was so consumed by his anger last night that he failed to check on Mara and Claire's bags.
Brian's watch collection was missing from the room, and it wasn't ordinary. He had a range of Omega and Cartier watches, and then he had two Rolex watches, but they were all gone!
He did not even notice that his restock of expensive wine had already been emptied.
The set of Royal Copenhagen porcelain plates, which Riley had kept in the kitchen cupboards for safekeeping, was also nowhere to be found. Briand did not even realize when those expensive plates went missing!
When Brian and his parents settled in the living room, they all looked defeated. Brian cried because everything was falling apart. Was it not enough that his company was struggling?
"They are definitely con artists," Darwin described.
"Aah!" Beatrice screamed. She sat up and slapped Brian all over. "What did you do? Why did you marry that woman? Why did you have to cheat? This is all your fault!"
At first, Brian did not react, but he eventually grabbed his mother's arms and barked, "My fault? Didn't you side with Claire too, Mother? How is this my fault alone?"
"Enough! We shouldn't be fighting against each other! It's all our fault! We allowed Claire to enter into this family and abandoned Riley!" Darwin scolded. "We have bigger problems at hand, so stop fighting!"
"What bigger problems?" Beatrice asked. Her face was stained with tears, and her makeup was a mess.
"Did you forget? Brian did not sign a prenup!" Darwin reminded. "We need to contact our lawyers now, or else half of everything Brian owns will be in that woman's hands!"
"And, oh, yeah. Let me at least pat you on the back for finally realizing it too late!" Zia said before hanging up the phone.
Left with the reminder of his foolishness, Brian grieved again. He prayed to the heavens and appealed, "Please let the DNA test come out negative."

The next day, Brian and his family went to the hospital together. Brian's friend, Luke, arrived almost simultaneously to check on him.
To their shock, Claire and Mara were also present.
Claire had that classic innocent face. Her doe eyes imploring at Brian. She said, "Brian, the paternity test will prove my innocence. Let's open it together."
Again, Brian was disgusted.
Of course, the DNA revelation did not happen without a fight between both parties. Yet, Mara and Claire denied everything.
Mara said, "Beatrice decided to borrow money. Why should I be blamed for that!"
"I did not steal your watches, Brian. It was there when we left last night!" Claire claimed. "Maybe it was the maids?"
Brian's party was outraged, but more than anything else, the paternity test had to be revealed. So, Brian approached the laboratory's releasing clerk and asked for the results. In front of everyone, he read, "The probability of paternity is 99.99998%."
Claire cried and embraced Brian. She said, "See, Babe? The baby is yours!"
Brian's heart sank while Beatrice fainted altogether.
