“They have been trying to get a second DNA test, but Claire is refusing the procedure. She and her family live in a rented flat at Court Residence because Brian refused to take her back. He is adamant about filing for an annulment under the grounds of false pretenses,” Clint reported. “Claire and his mother have lawyered up.”
“Lawyered up?” Adrian scoffed. Again, he felt disgusted.
“We will take care of it then,” Adrian concluded.
“How will you take care of it, Sir?” Clint curiously asked.
“Well, actually. You’ll take care of Claire,” Adrian said, eyes narrowing at Clint.
“Me?” Clint asked. “What can I do?”
“You are going to change your hair color back to your old one and use your real name,” Adrian suggested, shocking Clint.
“No,” Clint said. “We agreed -”
“Just for a day or two, Clint. Your family is across the country. No one would recognize you,” Adrian suggested.
Clint hissed. He shook his head and said, “Okay, fine. What’s the game plan.”
Adrian oriented Clint on his plan. Then, he said, “But before that, we need to teach Brian a lesson.”

On the day that Adrian would execute his plan, Brian was drowning himself with alcohol at a local bar. Luke had come to his aide and urged him to go home.
“What the hell!” Brian screamed, feeling the ice-cold water all over his body. His vision was blurry at first, but soon, he noticed a familiar man in front of him. “Adrian? Adrian King? What do you want?”
He looked around, frantic. When he realized he was in an abandoned warehouse, he feared for his life! He screamed, “This is kidnapping. You can’t do this to me!”
“Relax,” Adrian said. “I’m just here to teach you a lesson.”
Brian was still so drunk that he spat without thinking, “What will you do to me? Isn’t it enough that you have Riley? Newsflash, Adrian, I had Riley first! I was her first! You may have Riley now, but you will never be good enough for her! Haha! She likes traveling, going to the beach, and adventure. You, being a cripple, will never - Ah!”
Adrian’s fist came in contact with Brian’s face, which shocked him. It wasn’t the painful punch that took him aback; it was the fact that Adrian was standing!
“Yes, you may have had her, but her smile is brighter with me. She has more stability with me. Her spirit and her emotional presence are different. The Riley now is a better version of herself. So yeah, you might have “had her,” but you’ll never have her like I have her now,” Adrian said through clenched jaws. “So, if I were you, get over it!”
