Brian cried at what Adrian said.

Adrian was right! Riley looked so much happier and contented now that she was with him, something that he failed to give her.

Over the past few days, he had been reflecting on what he had lost. He wanted Riley back, but sadly, she was already married to Adrian.

The trouble with Claire was a big eye-opener.

And, of course, there was the fact that Riley had been pregnant with their child. He apparently had the perfect life but ruined it because he couldn't keep it in his pants.

As Brian wept, Adrian barked, "That punch was for all the pain you gave Riley, the amount of nights you made her cry, and the same pain you gave Renee!"

"During those months that she had discovered your affair, Riley had lost part of herself, and I hate you for it!" Adrian added. "But as much as I despise you, I think your trash of a wife needs to be disciplined. So, I will help you."

Brian sniffed his tears and looked at Adrian. He asked, "You - you can walk?"

"Yes, I can." Adrian returned to his wheelchair and threatened, "But if you tell anyone, we will become enemies."

"Does Riley know?" Brian asked.

"Yes," Adrian answered. "But no one else should know. Like I said, I expect you to keep it a secret."

Brian frowned. He was about to ask why, but Adrian must have read his mind. The man said, "I have my reasons."

"Why will you help me?" Brian inquired.

"Claire also hurt Riley by getting involved with you. Aside from that, there is something that I want you and your family to do," Adrian revealed.

"What is it?" Brian inquired.

"I want you and your family to ask Riley's forgiveness," Adrian said. "I want you all to acknowledge your mistakes before her. After that, I will take care of Claire."

The next day, Adrian took Riley and Renee out for dinner at the Marriot Hotel.

Adrian had booked a private conference for that occasion. After their group finished their desserts, Adrian told Riley and Renee, "Some people want to meet you."

The doors to the conference room opened, and Brian walked in with Beatrice and Darwin.

Riley was shocked, and so was Renee. Their eyes were rounding, and their body became tense.

"What's going on, Honey?" Riley asked.

"Just hear them out, Hun," Adrian responded.

Beatrice was the first one to cry. She walked towards Riley and fell on her knees. She apologized, "Riley, I'm sorry for hurting you and for siding with Claire. I was so wrong! Claire is so pretentious, but you - you never did anything like that to us."

She hugged Riley's knees and begged, "Forgive us. Forgive us. I regret everything! When I learned that you lost my grandchild, I went mad! I gave my affection as a mother to the wrong woman, and I hate myself for it!"
