Divorced My Cheating Husband, Married A Billionaire novel Chapter 111

In the lobby of the Court Residence, Claire and Mara turned up to witness a conversation between the building owner and a very affluent-looking man.

"Who is that?" Mara whistled, her eyes gleaming while studying the unknown man.

"He looks wealthy, Ma," Claire commented.

The man standing a few meters away wore a tailored blue suit with diamond cufflinks on his shirt. He looked stunning with his tall frame, chiseled features, dark blond neatly trimmed hair, and black-rimmed glasses.

"He looks so familiar, though, like I have seen him before," Claire said, tilting her head to see his face better.

"Maybe in a business magazine?" Mara whispered.

"Maybe," Claire said.

"Mr. Bradford, we are very excited to hear you are considering buying the entire residential building. We have put this place on sale for a year now, but many have said we are selling the building too high," the owner admitted.

"How much are you selling it for?" The man named Mr. Bradford inquired.

"Fifty million dollars. We are in a prime location. It's worth the money," the building owner answered.

"Quite cheap, actually," Mr. Bradford said while caressing his chin.

"Let's sit over here and discuss business," the owner urged. "You are the son of Samuel Bradford, right? The city's former chief justice."

"Yes, Clinton Bradford," the man introduced himself. "Our family has switched to business and moved to Napa Valley. My mother's side of the family owns a vineyard there."

"So, what brings you here?" the building owner inquired.

"Investment. I have millions of dollars doing nothing. I might as well invest it in the city where my father had worked for so many years," Mr. Bradford revealed.

"Wonderful! I can finally retire if you decide to buy this building, and you don't have to worry. The staff that I have employed are very hardworking. All you have to do is wait for the monthly rent! Haha!" the owner suggested.

"The Bradfords' estimated net worth is a hundred million dollars!" Mara read with eyes rounding. "Jackpot!"

"He looks really familiar, though," Claire said, but no matter how much he stared at the man, she couldn't remember where he had seen him.

"It doesn't matter because he is coming our way!" Mara exclaimed, and before they knew it, Clinton Bradford stood before them, exuding grace and confidence.

"Clinton Bradford," the man introduced himself. "I am sorry, but I could not help but stare at your beauty -"

"Oh, you must be married," he said, his gaze landing on her belly.

The disappointed look on his face made Claire regret being pregnant. She bit her lip and said, "Yes, I am, but my husband left me for another woman. He used my youth and cast me aside after he was done with me."

She sniffed and wiped the fake tears that were never there. She fluttered her eyes and looked at Clinton with her usual innocent expression, "You must think so little of me now that I am about to become a divorcee, yet I am pregnant."
