"Your husband paid for Claire's surgeries and her family's living expenses - food and rent. He also shouldered for their apartment at Court Residence recently," Adrian reported.
Much information was unveiled, including how William had asked his secretary to pay off the laboratory technician at Halliport General Hospital to fake the paternity test.
Adrian's men had acquired information from the laboratory technicians, comprising screenshots of their communications with William's secretary.
The proof was undeniable, especially since Clarisa had William's secretary in her contact list.
Half an hour had passed. Riley had helped Clarisa to her seat. Mrs. Barlowe reviewed every evidence on the table, her body shivering from the apparent betrayal. Everyone could see she was boiling in anger.
Riley's heart ached for Clarisa. She sympathized, "I'm sorry we had to tell you. We did not want to intrude in your relationship, but we couldn't turn a blind eye."
She explained how Claire ruined her marriage, "This woman was involved with Brian and William at the same time."
Clarisa glared at Brian, stating, "So this man is also a cheater!"
Riley gazed at Brian, who looked down, guilty. He answered reluctantly, "I—I—" Sadly, he couldn't speak, embarrassed to acknowledge the truth.
"Fools!" Clarisa screamed. Her eyes were red from having cried so much. "You both are fools! You ruined your marriages for a dirty gold digger!"
"Clarisa, please. We can work things out!" William, who was still being restrained, pleaded.
"Work things out? I will not raise your bastard child!" Clarisa yelled. "I want a divorce!"
Just as Clarisa voiced her anger, the door to the conference room opened. They all turned to find Claire Monet walking in with Clint.
"Only Brian was stupid enough to marry her," Adrian said. Again, he raised his hand, and Max explained Claire's involvement with two other men.
"An eighty-year-old man?" Riley could not help but glare at Brian. She said, "Seriously, Brian?"
Sure, they had agreed not to be enemies, but that didn't mean she would stay silent about her ex-husband's missteps.
Brian looked utterly revolted. Even William was shocked upon hearing of Claire's multiple affairs.
"It isn't just that; her mother, Mara Monet, is part of a predatory lending ring. They purposely con casino players into borrowing money at unreasonably high interest rates," Adrian added. "As we speak, the police are headed to the Court Residence to arrest Mara."
"What?" Claire reacted in fear. Her nose was bleeding, and she was trying to hold it together as she said, "You are lying! My mother is not involved with these loan sharks!"
