Divorced My Cheating Husband, Married A Billionaire novel Chapter 87

At Halliport Mega Mall's newly rented space, elegant flowers and large white ribbons decorated the area. Cocktail tables stood evenly outside the store, and attendants served expensive champagne and canapes.

"Today, we gather to witness a special moment: the grand opening of Adley & Co. Ladies and gentlemen, honorable guests, dear shoppers, we embark on this exciting journey together in three two one!" a host announced as she stood before the store's entrance.

Adrian and Riley cut the long ribbon at the front, and the host declared, "Congratulations, Adley & Co.! And for everyone who celebrated with us, Adley & Co. is giving away a 20% discount on all items until tomorrow! So, come on and shop now!"

Riley still could not believe this was real. Her dreams were crushed not long ago, but now, she was back to chasing them again. She had a big smile, and her eyes were brimming with tears as she turned to Adrian. He hugged him and said, "Thank you, Hun. Thank you so much. I love you."

From his wheelchair, Adrian cupped Riley's face. He pecked her lips and proudly said, "To us. To our dreams coming true. May we always conquer the world together."

The audience, filled with anticipation and support, erupted into thunderous applause, a clear testament to their excitement for Adley & Co. Among the crowd were Adrian's grandfather, Zia, Renee, Clint, Anthony, a few of Adrian's affluent acquaintances, store employees, and Riley's clients who had followed her from Brey Jewelry.

Of course, while against their wishes, Fredrick and Tonet were there because it was Anthony's orders.

"Congratulations!" Zia exclaimed as she hugged Riley.

Riley cherished the embrace, and upon seeing her mother behind Zia, she hugged Renee.

"I'm happy for you, Riley," Renee remarked before she kissed Riley's cheeks. Renee was still in a wheelchair, so Zia had accompanied her.

"Thank you, Mom," Riley answered. She pulled away and announced, "To celebrate today, I'm going to buy you any jewelry of your liking!"

"Including me?" Zia blinked her eyes and made a cute face, pleading with Riley.

Riley's lips escaped with a laugh, and she answered, "For you, Zia. I can give it to you at cost price."

"Fair enough!" Zia exclaimed.

It did not take long for everyone to enter the store and check the individual pieces of jewelry. Adrian and Riley divided and conquered, entertaining their first customers.

Adrian engaged with some of Riley's clients, such as Bianchis and Miss Jhonson, while Riley attended to new clients who had recently discovered their website.

Grandpa Abner had also invited some of his old friends, and he gave his fair share of tours around the store.

The clock was ticking, and the sales were going up. After an hour and a half, Adrian approached Riley and said, "The Star Mall owners have called Clint. We sent them a proposal for the renovation, and they got back to us with a favorable response. We don't want to miss this opportunity. Do you mind if we go? We'll be back for sure."

"Of course, Hun." Riley leaned over and kissed Adrian. After that, he and Clint left for a very important meeting. The remaining Kings also left to attend to their matters, including Grandpa Abner.

"Brian?" Riley asked in surprise. Seeing Brian again gave Riley a mix of emotions. "What are you doing here?"

"So this is why we are losing clients!" Brian snapped. "You stole our valued clients! Client information is confidential, yet you used it to invite them to your new workplace! I did not know you had it in you!"

Riley was stunned. Her face flushed in anger at Brian's accusations, and immediately, she was reminded of how blind she was to have married this man.

Through gritted teeth, Riley answered, "It's disappointing that you would think of me that way, Brian, that I would purposely steal clients from Brey Jewelry, but you don't know the full story here -"

"Obviously, this is solicitation! And I wonder how many clients you have stolen from us," Brian insisted. His voice was so loud that he was attracting the surrounding customers.

"Excuse me, Mr. Martin, but we found Riley instead," Cedric Ventura interfered. "You cannot blame us. Your new designs were not at par with Riley's designs. Were we supposed to settle for less?"

"Exactly," Sienna added. "Do not blame Riley for replacing her with a younger woman and firing her. Blame yourself!"

Sadly, the words of the Venturas did not sink into Brian's head. Instead, he declared, "Just wait, Riley. I'm going to sue you for breach of contract!"

He angrily turned on his heel and left with his colleague, leaving Riley utterly frustrated.
