Chapter 126
The Blue Owl Squad didn’t have much to say to that. They just nodded like their lives depended on it.
Whatever you say, Boss Quinn. You’re the boss.
With power like hers, who the hell was going to argue?
“What’s the move?” Zane asked.
“Keep training. Keep killing,” Josie said coldly. “We aren’t going home until we’ve dropped ten thousand of these bastards today.
“Copy that!” they shouted in unison.
Josie led them into the next block.
The squad let their powers loose again, harvesting the undead like wheat.
When their energy ran dry, they fought with raw muscle.
Josie summoned dozens of heavy blades with her Metal Manipulation. They weren’t as sharp as real forged steel, but they d done against Tier–2 undead.
The Blue Owl guys weren’t just pros with guns–they were killers with blades, too.
Everyone geared up and charged in, wild and ready for blood.
A hundred yards away, on a skyscraper rooftop…
A man nearly seven feet tall–no, scratch that–a Tier–3 Psychic Undead was watching Josie fight, a creepy smile playing on his lips.
To give Josie a better workout, he even started herding the undead from neighboring blocks toward them.
Josie and her team realized the numbers were getting ridiculous. It was like a never–ending tide–one wave would go down, and another would slam into them immediately.
It just didn’t stop.
Something clicked for Josie.
She looked at Zane. “Starting now, we’re splitting into two squads. One team fights, the other rests. We rotate every two hours.”
“Copy that!” Zane didn’t even have to think about it.
The squad split up instantly.
Josie reached into her storage space and hauled out a mountain of food. She signaled to the resting squad. “Eat up. Now. Recharge your bodies and get your energy back.
As soon as they caught their breath, they swapped out with the first team.
Josie pulled another stash of food from her space to keep them fueled.
The two teams rotated like clockwork, slaughtering everything in sight for twenty straight hours.
They didn’t stop until every single undead in the block was wiped out.
After the last body hit the ground, everyone was spent. They were so drained they could barely lift a finger.

<Chapter 126
Josie went down the line, pouring nutrient supplement into their mouths to kickstart their recovery.
Josie rested her hands on the hilt of her greatsword, her eyes locked on a fresh swarm of undead wobbling toward them in the “Break’s over. Get up,” she said. “Looks like we aren’t making it back today. Fine. Nobody’s going back.”
“Push yourselves to the absolute limit! I want every single one of you at Tier–2!”
“If you don’t hit that mark, you don’t go home!”
“Yes, Ma’am!” Their roar was electric, morale hitting the roof.
A small smirk tugged at Josie’s lips.
Good.
She loved these battle–hungry psychos.
As the next swarm closed in, Josie gripped her greatsword and charged.
She carved through them like paper.
Their bodies hit their limits over and over, and every time, they broke through to a new level of potential.
When their muscles gave out, they used their superpowers.
The entire team held that ground, locked in a bloodbath for three full days and nights.
Everyone looked like hell. They had deep circles under their eyes and thick stubble on their faces–a bunch of exhausted, filthy mes
But the payoff? It was insane.
Josie was the first to break through to Tier–3, and Zane hit the mark right after her.
By the third day, every single person in the squad had leveled up to a Tier–2 superpower.
They’d lost track of how many undead they’d put down. All they knew was that the Essence Cores they’d scavenged filled over a doz massive duffel bags.
“That’s enough for now,” Josie said, dusting off her hands. “Let’s head back!”
Before leaving, she looked up at the roof of a distant skyscraper and screamed, “Hey! You! Just you wait! One of these days, I’m gonn rip your head off! This world belongs to me, not you!”
The Tier–3 Undead’s only response was to slowly raise a wine glass toward her from the rooftop.
