Doomsday Revenge: Payback Time (Josie) novel Chapter 21

Today, I’m getting absolute justice for my mother!

The heavy tactical belt in Josie’s hand moved so fast it was a literal blur, whistling viciously through the air, cracking like a bullwhip. Aren’t you two supposed to be powerful Supers now?! Then run! Go on, run! Let’s see how far you get without your fcking legs!” “Gah! Stop it! Josic, please!Arthur and Sylvia scrambled frantically, desperately trying to duck and weave in their wheelchairs. But no matter how they twisted, turned, or raised their arms, they couldn’t escape the merciless sting of Josie’s belt.

It was like the heavy leather had eyes. Everywhere they moved, the brass buckle followed, snapping violently against their skin, tearing through their clothes and leaving long, bloody welts across their backs and arms.

They were both Awakened Supers, boasting Super Strength and Super Speed, but it didn’t matter. Stripped of their mobility, they were nothing but howling, pathetic dogs trapped in a cage under a constant, torrential rain of blows.

Josie! You’re hitting your own father! You’ll rot in the deepest pits of hell for this!Arthur screamed, his face twisted in a grotesque mask of rage, pain, and humiliation. I should have smothered you in your crib the day you were born!

Oh, really? Too bad you missed your chance, old man!Josie threw her head back and laughed again, the sound wild, jagged, and utterly terrifying. It’s way too late for that now!

Sylvia couldn’t take the brutal beating anymore.

Driven by pure, agonizing panic, she lunged entirely out of her wheelchair, dropping heavily to the hardwood floor. Using her hands like desperate, frantic extra legs, she scrambled on all fours like a manic spider, desperately trying to crawl away from the whistling belt.

She had Super Speed. Even dragging her bleeding stumps on the floor, her upper body was moving like a complete, terrifying blur.

Oh? Look at you. Now this is interesting.

Josie stopped swinging for a fraction of a second, her cold eyes tracking Sylvia’s frantic movements across the living room.

The woman was fastfast enough to be a decent, liveaction training dummy for Josie’s reaction time.

By the time the Tier3 Undead evolved in a few months, they’d be moving at exactly this speed.

This was the perfect warmup.

Run! Keep crawling! Don’t you dare stop, Sylvia!Josie pivoted gracefully on her heel, the heavy belt snapping through the air like a gunshot as she hunted the older woman down.

I thought you were the untouchable Speedster?! Pick up the pace! If you’re slow, you bleed! Hahaha!

You’re insane, Josie! You’re a total, irredeemable psycho!Sylvia finally snapped, the mask of the innocent victim falling away completely. She glared up from the floor, her face smeared with sweat and blood. Arthur and I were always meant to be together! Your mother was the pathetic bich who

stole him from me!

She was trash, and you’re even worse!

Oh, reallyJosie let out a cold, sharp, utterly merciless laugh. She didn’t miss a beat, bringing the belt down hard across Sylvia’s shoulders. Did my mother hold a knife to Arthur’s throat to force him to marry her? Or did she pay you five million dollars to sck off?*

Because the way I heard it, Arthur spent an entire year acting like a pathetic, groveling simp just to get her to notice him. He was the one begging for her attention, waiting outside her office in the rain every single day until she finally gave in out of pity.

He was so utterly desperate to secure his meal ticket that he was the one who drafted the prenup, just to prove to her wealthy family he wasn’t a golddigger after her money.

If you two were such destined soulmates, where the hell were you back then, Sylvia?

Now you’re suddenly the tragic love of his life? Give me a fcking break.

Josie stepped closer, her shadow looming over the crippled woman. God, you two are feking disgusting

If my mother hadn’t wanted a kid of her own to love, a broke, useless loser like Arthur would’ve never stood a chance with a rich, highclass woman like her.

He married my mom for her status, and immediately started hooking up with you in cheap motels. A golddigging scumbag and a homewrecking

btchhonestly, you two are a match made in absolute hell.

You thought because my mother was an orphan with no powerful family to back her up, you could just bleed her dry, drive her to an early grave, and steal everything she had built, didn’t you?

Arthur had the balls to chase my mom just so he could scam her for the money he needed to support you.

June is only three months younger than me. The second my mom got pregnant, Arthur couldn’t wait to knock you up with his bastard, could he?

Two old slts raising a manipulative little btch. You’re a whole family of absolute trash.

Too bad for you, though,Josie whispered, her voice dropping to a terrifying, lethal calm. My mother saw right through Arthur before the end. Before she died, she had her will notarized by the top lawyers in the city. Every single cent of the estate, this house, the trust fundsit’s all mine! That piece of sht gets absolutely nothing!

He thought the prenup he signed was just for show, a romantic gesture. But my mom made sure it was ironclad. Airtight.

How’s it feel to walk away with nothing, Sylvia?Josie’s belt lashed out again, a rush of pure, violent adrenaline hitting her with every brutal strike. Even after finally marrying him, what did you actually get?! A crippled husband and a bleeding stump!

Josie struggled to keep up with Sylvia’s frantic, blurry crawling at first. But it didn’t take long for her ten years of combat instincts to adjust.

Soon, her strikes were landing effortlessly, perfectly matching the Speedster’s pace, turning the living room into a masterclass of absolute, sadistic dominance.
