Chapter 299
He was going to be the one and only Undead King The future Undead Emperor.
Maybe it was a high–rank thing, but the moment Cyrus set foot in Newport City, Lord Vane sensed him.
Lord Vane looked young–maybe mid–twenties.
He was striking, almost beautiful in a wicked way. Sharp eyes, blood–red lips, and long, wavy red hair.
He was male, but his looks were dangerously elegant.
Right then, Vane was lounging on his throne, casually enjoying a meal.
Suddenly, his eyes sharpened. He flicked his wrist, and the silver cutlery in his hand went flying.
CRASH.
The sound echoed through the hall.
Their first exchange was over in a heartbeat.
“So, you’re Vane?” Cyrus stood right in front of him, his voice sounding bored. “Peak Level 5.”
“And who the hell are you?” Vane snapped, eyes locked on him.
It had only been one move, but Vane could already feel the raw pressure rolling off the man. This guy was a real Alpha.
But Vane was at the top of Level 5, after all. He gritted his teeth and held his ground, refusing to look weak.
“Cyrus,” Cyrus said, giving him a dismissive look. “Your future King.”
Vane let out a dry, angry laugh. “You? You think you have what it takes?”
“Yeah, I do,” Cyrus said, every word hitting like a hammer. “You’re not in my league.”
The words barely left his mouth before they clashed again.
Zip. Zip. Zip.
A storm of fireballs slammed into an invisible barrier, unable to even get close to Cyrus.
Cyrus just gave a casual wave of his hand.
The fireballs snapped back instantly, screaming through the air right back at Vane.
Lord Vane scrambled to pull back his attack, barely dodging his own fireballs in a desperate, pathetic blur.
Two rounds. Two losses. Vane was getting absolutely wrecked.
It wasn’t even a contest anymore. The gap in their power was a damn canyon.
Cyrus raised a hand and made a simple gripping motion. An invisible force yanked Vane forward, dragging him through the air until Cyrus’s fingers clamped around his throat.
A crushed throat wasn’t a death sentence for the undead, but the gesture? It was pure humiliation.
After all, every zombie used to be human.

If it shamed a man, it shamed a monster.
Vane was completely locked down He couldn’t even twitch a finger
That was when it finally hit him just how terrifying a psychic could he
This wasn’t just a one–level difference Cyrus was in a whole different league.
Facing that overwhelming power, Vane’s pride finally snapped. He lowered his head in total submission. “Yes, my King”
Onh then did Cyrus let go.
Vane couldn’t even keep his balance. He slumped forward, dropping to one knee.
Menst
Cyrus walked past him, taking Vane’s seat like he’d always owned it. He leaned back and looked down at him. ‘Give me the sitrep on Newport City. How many humans are still breathing?”
“Are there any other Alphas here besides you?”
There’s a Nuclear Research Center in this area. Do you know where it is?”
“And the military base. Where’s that?”
The questions came one after another, hitting Lord Vane like rapid–fire rounds. He was dazed.
Lord Vane blinked, taking a second to process before answering. “I control most of Newport City, but humans still hold a few pockets. Their Supers aren’t half bad–one of them just hit Level 5. They can actually hold their own against me.”
“As for the exact headcount, I’m not entirely sure. A few million, maybe? It’s mostly local residents and military remnants.”
“But about the Nuclear Research Center and the military base…”
