The entire battlefield trembled three times in rapid succession.

Standing in the distance, June Quinn’s pupils contracted sharply.

June landed beside Lord Vane. She looked down at him with a flicker of contempt, though her voice was laced with feigned concern. “Are you alright?” Lord Vane scrambled out of the crater, wiping a streak of dark blood from his mouth. He said with a cold, ghastly grin. “I’m fine. I just let my guard down for a second! A scratch like this is nothing!”

“But,” he added, eyeing her, “are you sure you want to team up with me?” “What does it matter?” June’s eyes were cold as she stared at Josie. “As long

as we win!”

“Good!” Lord Vane let out a cackling, eerie laugh. “If we’re teaming up, let’s add one more!”

Lord Vane reached out and snatched a massive Undead from the ranks. This creature had only recently evolved to Tier-5. While its level was slightly lower than his, it was still far stronger than any Tier-4.

Now, Josie was facing

two Tier-5 Undead and one Tier-6 Aquatic/ Super simultaneously.

The surrounding Undead horde pulled back like a retreating tide, leaving a massive empty circle. Only the four of them remained in the center of the ring.

“All three of you, come at once,” Josie, said with a cold sneer. “I’ll show

that I have the power to crush all three of you at once!*

“Arrogant!” June shouted, losing her temper completely. She struck first.

A massive water dragon erupted from her palms, screaming through the air toward Josie.

Lord Vane followed up immediately, hurling a volley of Pyro Orbs. Because water and fire were opposing elements, their attacks were timed with a few seconds of separation to avoid canceling each other out.

This time, Josie didn’t use her superpowers.

Instead, she launched herself forward like a cannonball, meeting the water dragon head-on.

At the exact moment of impact, she pulled her Greatsword from her space.

Gripping the hilt with both hands, she swung with all her might!

The massive water dragon was sliced clean in half by Josie’s blade. It instantly collapsed, turning into a waterfall that crashed into the mud below

Josie descended slowly from the air, landing lightly on the ground.

The faces of June and Lord Vane were grim. They never expected that the three of them combined wouldn’t be able to land a scratch on her.
