Chapter 338.
June knew the truth, though
When Josie fought Cyrus Finch, she rent all out, using Metal and Plant Manipulation, simultaneously while swinging that Greatsword like a demon What did that prove?
To them, Cyrus was an existence of absolute, crushing dominance. Even though Cyrus was a “glass cannon” Psychic Super with a relatively fragile physical body, they were still no match for him.
And yet, that only served to highlight Josie’s terrifying strength.
She was already this formidable, and she hadn’t even officially reached Tier-6 yet. If she were allowed to break through, would any of them even have chance to survive?
June’s expression turned hideously twisted.
Josie has to die here today!*
June launched another attack, pushing herself to the limit. Manifesting two water dragons at once was her absolute ceiling. Once she used this, she would fall into a state of total exhaustion.
But for the sake of winning, she didn’t care anymore! She couldn’t let Josie keep growing’ She had to crush her right here, once and for all!
Seeing June’s desperation, Lord Vane followed suit, unleashing his full power for a lethal, final blow.
The Tier-5 Terrestrial Undead also went all out. Countless earth spikes erupted from the ground, lunging toward Josie’s feet.
“Good! That’s more like it!” Josie let out a cold laugh. “Let’s see how much damage you three failures can do when you put your heads together!”
As soon as she spoke, Josie raised both hands.
Her left hand condensed metallic spikes, while her right hand manifested a massive, thick green vine.
Spike as spear, vine as shield.
Plant counters Earth.
The giant green shield instantly blocked the impact of the earth spikes. As the terrestrial attack crumbled, Josie sent the massive shield flying forward, slamming it into the Terrestrial Undead’s chest.
Simultaneously, her metallic spikes tore through June’s water dragons and Lord Vane’s fireballs.
Water and fire collided, neutralizing each other, but the momentum of Josie’s spikes never wavered. They streaked toward the two leaders with lethal
intent.
Following the spikes was Josie herself, swinging her Greatsword.
It was a simple downward strike-the Crushing Zenith-but it moved so fast, the air itself seemed to shatter, letting out an ea.-piercing shriek.
The sheer force behind the swing was immense.
Lord Vane’s smug expression froze.
He finally realized just how catastrophically he had miscalculated.
There was a world of difference between one Tier-5 Apex and another. A Tier-5 Apex like Josie Quinn was already a match for a Tier-6′
He wanted to retre, but it was too late.
In a moment of pure, cowardly instinct, he grabbed the newly evolved Tier-5 Terrestrial Undead and shoved the creature in front of him as a shield
*SPLAT!*
The Tier- Undead, who hadn’t even had time to enjoy its new rank, was sliced clean in half by Josie’s Greatsword.
kasie landed gracefully. She opened her palm and caught the Tier-5 Undead Core as it fell from the air. Then, she looked at Lord Vane and fore with a look of pure mockery.
