Chapter 366.
Josie turned her cold gaze toward her sister. “Don’t even think about sneaking off to ambush the Blue Owl Squad while I’m busy.”
“I wasn’t!” June shrieked, her voice defensive and shrill.
“Hah. You’re the kind of person who would cut a deal with the Undead. Is there anything you “wouldn’t do?” Josie sneered. “I’m warning you-don’t try it.”
As she spoke, the members of the Blue Owl Squad lined up. Every single one of them had laid out a spread of grenades in front of them, ready to trigger a suicide blast at a moment’s notice.
They were making a statement: they would not be used as leverage against Josie. If they were dead, June would have nothing to hold
over her.
Josie could theoretically escape this place on her own if she didn’t have to worry about them. June realized this and snarled in frustration, unable to touch the wounded soldiers.
“Are we done talking?” Cyrus asked, his voice bored. “It’s time to fight. Pay attention.”
Josie spun around and launched an immediate assault.
When two powerhouses clash, the battle moves at lightning speed. In the span of a few breaths, they exchanged dozens of blows. When her elemental attacks were spent, Josie swung her greatsword with bone-shattering force.
*Clang! Clang! Clang!*
The battle grew more violent by the second.
Josie was fighting with a raw, burning fury. She still couldn’t figure out how they had been compromised. She had been so sure she had lost her tail. Where had she slipped up?
Just as Josie was preparing a desperate, all-or-nothing strike, a shout erupted from the sidelines.
“It’s bad! I can’t detect Hudson’s vital signs!”
Josie’s heart skipped a beat.
She forced a heavy collision with Cyrus, using the recoil to retreat. She turned and sprinted back toward her team.
When she reached him, Hudson Knox’s face was as white as a sheet. He was clinging to life by a thread.
He had been severely injured earlier, but he had kept his mouth shut to avoid distracting Josie. He had pushed himself past his limit, and now his body was failing.
Josie immediately dropped to her knees, pouring her Plant-type Superpower into him.
“Josie Quinn, the fight isn’t over yet!” June wasn’t about to let Josie save anyone. She launched a Water Dragon Bullet directly at Josie’s back.
Josie was forced into an impossible position. She used one hand to manifest a Metallic Shield to block the sneak attack, while her other hand remained pressed against Hudson, frantically pumping healing energy into his body.
She was dividing her concentration to its absolute limit.
She had used two powers simultaneously before, but usually for offense. This was different-one for defense, one for healing. She was somewhat out of practice with this.

June’s attack was relentless. Even if her Tier-6 rank was built entirely on a pile of Cores, the raw output was still devastating.
