Chapter 368.

June looked at Cyrus, unwilling to let go. “But-”

“I said, enough.” Cyrus gave her a look of cold dissatisfaction.

June was forced to grit her teeth and retreat several steps. The resentment in her eyes was palpable.

“Josie Quinn, I’ll take those weapons back sooner or later,” Cyrus said. “Keep them safe for me.”

“Heh.” Josie gave him a cold sneer, not even bothering to look up from her work.

“Even without those nukes, I’ll still rank up before you,” Cyrus added. “We’ll see who wins in the end.”

With a flash of movement, Cyrus vanished from the beach.

June shot one last hateful glare at Josie. “Don’t get too arrogant, Josie. You got lucky this time, but there won’t be a next time!”

Josie had at least given Cyrus a sneer. For June, she didn’t offer so much as a word.

What was June worth? She didn’t even deserve a response.

The Undead horde surrounding the beach receded like a tide. The suffocating tension vanished in an instant.

Lirio didn’t chase them. Once the Undead were gone, it shrunk its body down until it was a palm-sized little tree. Just as it was about to

climb back into Josie’s hair, it froze.

It reached out and yanked a tiny vine away from Josie’s shoulder.

“What is this?” Lirio shrieked. “Master! You found yourself a little side-pet while I was gone?!”

Josie suddenly remembered that she still had the cowardly little Ivy with her. “She’s just a little thing. Don’t scare her.”

Sure enough, when Lirio glared at her, Ivy looked like she was about to faint on the spot. Her courage was non-existent.

“This? This thing is fit to be a Mutant Flora?” Lirio was a Primal, and a powerful one nearing the high-rank. To a common mutant vine like Ivy, Lirio’s presence was a physical weight.

Ivy wasn’t just scared; she literally couldn’t breathe under the pressure.

“Lirio, stop bullying her,” Josie said. “She helped me find some good stuff. She’s earned her keep.”

“Then you better not contract her, Master!” Lirio said stubbornly.

“Don’t worry, I only have a contract with you,” Josie replied. “Not just any plant is qualified to be bound to me.”
