In the old world, houses were built right onto the cliffs. A road might run across a rooftop, and another house would be buik right on top of that. The winding, multi-layered layout was famous for making outsiders lose their way.

Because of this, the human bases in Sierra City were built in incredibly winding and complex locations.

After a thorough discussion, they finally decided to build their small base on a mountain not far from the urban center.

Technically it was the outskirts, but it was a residential area in the past-just not as crowded as the downtown core

Why pick this spot?

Because there was an existing cave system right next to a block of abandoned residential buildings.

With a bit of modification, the cave could serve as a base, and the nearby apartments could be turned into a cultivation center.

It was incredibly convenient.

Furthermore, the road leading there was exceptionally convoluted. Unless you walked it several times, you would definitely get lost.

If humans got lost, the low-tier Undead would be even more hopeless.
