“Good!” Cyrus smiled. “I hope you reach Tier-8 as soon as possible. That way, when I finally kill you, it won’t feel like an overkill.”

“I’ll say the same to you.” Josie’s gaze turned as sharp as a blade as she looked at Cyrus. “I told you-I’ll take your core sooner or later. Now, let me add one more thing: I’m taking your superpower, too!”

“Hahahaha! Fine!” Cyrus let out a wild, manic laugh. “I’d love to see you try! Josie, your performance today was very satisfying. You tru are the person I’ve set my sights on!”

“Hmph.” Josie gestured, and Lirio instantly shrank back to the size of a palm, hopping up to perch on her head.

“I’m leaving.” Josie dropped the words coldly. Without sparing a single glance at the ruined figures of June and Jaxon behind her, she turned and strode out of the theater.

“Why? Cyrus, why didn’t you stop her?” June looked at Cyrus in total despair. “Don’t you want her dead more than anyone?”

“I do want her dead, but not today.” Cyrus looked down at June, who was sprawled on the floor like a pile of trash. “Tsk, tsk. As for you. you’ve officially lost your value to me.”

“No! I still have value!” June cried out in panic. “I’ve awakened once, twice, three times-I can awaken a fourth! My value is higher than anyone’s!”

“Oh? Is that so? Then I’ll look forward to it.” Cyrus gave June and the barely breathing Jaxon a meaningful look before turning and walking away.

June slumped powerlessly against the floor, wanting to scream, to vent her fury and resentment. But her body was soft and weak; she didn’t have a shred of energy left.

Having lost her powers, she had been reverted to a Norm once again. She didn’t even have the strength to throw a tantrum.

“Damn it! Damn it all!” When June thought about how all the powers in Josie’s body-except for the Metallic one-had been stolen from her, she felt like her head would explode. “They were mine! They were all mine! Josie, how could you do this to me? Everything you have belongs to me!”

“The glory that belongs to you was supposed to be mine!”

“I hate you! I hate you! We are enemies for life!”

“I will have my revenge for this!”

Jaxon, meanwhile, was still pinned to the chair. He didn’t even have the luxury of being angry about his lost powers. He was too weak.

“Save me… help…” he rasped.

“Someone… help me… quickly!”

He was no longer a Super. The rate at which he was bleeding from the triangular trench knife wound was terrifying. If he wasn’t taken to a hospital immediately, he was going to die right here.
