une leaned in close to Mr. Victor, her voice soft and sweet. “We don’t have enough trucks to take it all at once. We’ll have to do it in shifts. Grain first, hen the fruits and veggies.”
Victor was wrapped around her finger. Whatever you say, June. Your call.”
osic, hiding behind a tree, started laughing so hard her shoulders shook. ‘June! What a coincidence. Small world, right? Looks like we both have the
same great taste.”
But sorry, not sorry. This warehouse? It’s mine.”
Looks like you guys came all this way for nothing!”
June, I’ve gotta hand it to you. Finding a hidden spot like this? I definitely underestimated you.”
I guess it makes sense. You were the ‘it girl‘ in the first timeline. God’s favorite little princess.”
But so what? In this life, I’m the one calling the shots.”
And you? You’re just my battery. My fuel.”
While June and her crew were busy trying to figure out how to break down the front door, Josie had already slipped around to the back.
She pressed her palms flat against the wall, feeling for the metal hidden deep inside.
There it is.
Damn. This place lived up to the hype. One of the top three cold–chain giants for a reason.
They really went all out.
The entire warehouse was reinforced with two–inch–thick steel plating inside the walls.
Ceiling, floor–the whole nine yards.
Any Norm trying to break into this place would have a hell of a time.
But the world had a glitch now: a Metallic Super who could command every ounce of metal in existence.
And that made things very easy for Josie.
She ran her hands along the surface, found a weak point, and locked in. She pushed her Metallic power to the limit
Melt. Compress. Shift.
The steel inside the wall began to liquify under her touch, slowly carving out a hole.
Right then, June and her crew were busy setting off charges at the front. Josie didn’t miss a beat. She pulled some detonators from her subspace and
lapped them onto the wall. She’d time her blast to hit at the exact same second as theirs.
The timing was flawless. Up front, June’s team had no idea someone was looting the place right out from under their noses.
While the front wall held firm, Josie’s side cracked. A hole the size of a doggy door blew open. ‘
It wasn’t huge, but it was enough for her to squeeze through.
Josie didn’t hesitate. She yanked her beanie down, snapped her mask on, and dove inside.
Once she was in, she could’ve screamed with joy.
This place was massive!
There were twenty large units and thirty small ones.
All of them were top–tier cold storage.
The big units were set to a bone–chilling deep freeze. Meat and fish, wall–to–wall.
The smaller ones were kept at a cool fifty degrees. They were packed with grain, veggies, fruit, and snacks.
Every single door was reinforced with four–inch steel plating.
To anyone else, they were impenetrable.

She hit the first unit immediately. She focused her metal ability, and the heavy lock turned to liquid under her touch.
She yanked the door open. A thick cloud of white mist rolled out, hitting her in the face.
