A message popped up with a location. It was a coffee shop right in the middle of the city. James glanced at it, locked his phone, but didn’t rush out. He stayed with the kids, letting them giggle and climb all over him, not ready to leave just yet. Only when the nanny came to take them for their afternoon nap, over an hour later, did he finally get up and head for the door.
Outside the old family house, a sleek black sedan was parked at the curb. Next to it stood a young man in a suit, sweat dripping down his forehead. James recognized him as Tyler’s assistant. With the estate’s security tighter than ever, nobody got in or out without Teresa’s say-so. The poor guy had probably been waiting in the heat for ages.
The moment James appeared, the assistant wiped his brow and rushed over. “James! You’re finally out!”
James didn’t even pause. He walked straight toward his SUV. The assistant hurried after him, looking desperate, holding out a fancy red wedding invitation with gold trim.
“James, Mr. Tyler asked me to personally give this to you. He and Miss Isabel will be getting married at Pearl Hospital next month, on the twenty-eighth. He really hopes you’ll come and witness his happiness.”
James stopped. He looked down at the invitation, his lips curling into a mocking smile.
Just then, Teresa, having heard voices, stepped outside. The assistant spotted her and quickly repeated his message, offering her an invitation as well. “Teresa, Mr. Tyler sincerely invites you, too.”

Miles above the ground, Emmy finished her pasta and finally felt the exhaustion hit her. After a sleepless night thanks to James, she was barely keeping her eyes open. She took her phone and slipped into the plane’s private bedroom. The leather bed was covered with soft Egyptian cotton sheets. Emmy lay down, scrolling through photos she had secretly snapped earlier, her eyes lingering on the two kids’ faces. The longer she stared, the heavier her eyelids grew.
Before she knew it, her phone slipped from her hand and fell onto the pillow. Her breathing slowed, deep and even. She wasn’t sure how long she slept, only that suddenly, she found herself slipping into a strange dream.

What I was dreading the most just happened, I think I need to move on from this story and read something else. This story is breaking my heart....

Hopefully Emmy is level headed like she normally is and they can get past this. I'm praying!...
OMG! How can this be happening! If there is an issue in a marriage shouldn't it be talked through instead of someone believing rumors?...
Really, why is there always some home wrecker added to these stories? I always enjoyed reading this until now. Had to go and ruin a beautiful love story....
I enjoy reading this. I like that the storyline isn’t drawn out and moves on. I also appreciate chapters being added almost everyday, thank you....
