Harlene didn’t hesitate. She whipped out her phone with a grin. “Already on it. You know you can trust me.” She scrolled quickly, showing off her handiwork. “Good thing we rushed back. Our spot had the best angle, and the lighting was perfect. You look amazing in these, seriously.”
She nudged Emmy with her shoulder. “Check this one out, and this one too... You’ve got that confident glow. Absolutely gorgeous.” She started tapping away. “I’ll send them all, you can pick your favorites.”
A couple of cheerful notification sounds went off, and Emmy’s phone buzzed in her hand. She opened her messages, ready to check out the photos, but her eyes drifted up to the pinned chat at the very top. James had sent her a message.
[Be careful. There are all kinds of people at the venue. Don’t get too close to any guys.]
[Especially that blond guy. Keep your distance.]
Blond guy? Emmy blinked, confused. She looked up, glancing around. Was there a livestream or something? Or had James sent a spy to keep tabs on her? How else would he know about the “blond guy” nearby?
She turned to look at John, who was sitting right beside her. He was focused on the stage, his blond hair practically glowing under the lights. He’d styled his bangs up for the award ceremony, his forehead showing off perfectly. With those striking features and clear blue eyes, he looked like he’d stepped right out of a European movie.
Emmy let out a quiet laugh. So the “blond guy” James was talking about was John. She had to admit, the description fit.
John noticed her laughing and looked over, puzzled. “What’s up, Emmy? Why are you laughing? Do I have something on my face?” He started checking his cheeks, suddenly self-conscious.
Emmy shook her head, trying to play it cool. “No, not at all.” She pointed at his hair, her voice sincere. “Actually, I was just thinking your hairstyle looks awesome today. It suits you really well. Makes you look even sharper.”
John’s face turned a shade of red that crept all the way up to his ears. He ran a hand through his hair, a little flustered, feeling his heart race. He made a silent promise to himself right there. Even if he started losing his hair, he’d keep this style forever.
Emmy had no idea how much her offhand compliment meant. She turned away, focused on her phone, and started typing a reply to James.

chapter 1251 has no wording, just the chapter number...
What I was dreading the most just happened, I think I need to move on from this story and read something else. This story is breaking my heart....
CHAPTER 1220 HAS NO WORDING JUST THE CHAPTER NUMBER...
Hopefully Emmy is level headed like she normally is and they can get past this. I'm praying!...
OMG! How can this be happening! If there is an issue in a marriage shouldn't it be talked through instead of someone believing rumors?...
Really, why is there always some home wrecker added to these stories? I always enjoyed reading this until now. Had to go and ruin a beautiful love story....
I enjoy reading this. I like that the storyline isn’t drawn out and moves on. I also appreciate chapters being added almost everyday, thank you....
