Emmy met his eyes with that same businesslike calm she always wore, not giving an inch. “So, Mr. Abis.”
“If you aren’t with the group, I’ll just be straightforward.” She kept her voice even. “If you’re hoping to enjoy the island’s attractions, most of them aren’t open until after tomorrow’s grand opening. Honestly, if you wander around now, it probably won’t be much fun.”
She paused, sounding genuinely apologetic. “And if you’re looking to check into the hotel for a bit of rest, I’m afraid I have to tell you…” Emmy gave a quick sigh. “All our rooms are fully booked because of the grand opening rush. Every single one. The only thing left is a sea-view suite reserved especially for Tyler and Isabel.”
Abis just raised an eyebrow, stepping closer until his presence seemed to fill the space between them. “So, is Mr. Lincoln planning to turn away a very generous guest who comes bearing gifts?”
His lips curled with an edge that made Emmy’s pulse flicker. “I brought hundreds of millions. I’m here with nothing but respect for your company, ready to invest. Is this really how Janus Sphere Technologies treats its investors?”
Emmy’s eyes narrowed for a split second, catching the flash of cameras from reporters lurking nearby. If she kicked him out now… tomorrow’s headlines would be a PR nightmare.
Janus Sphere Technologies Turns Investors Away. Refuses Billion-Dollar Deal.
That kind of scandal, right now? Out of the question.
She took a slow breath and put on her best polished smile. “Mr. Abis, you must be joking. Who in their right mind would turn away a true patron of fortune?”
“If you’re really that interested, let me pull some strings and see what I can do.” Without missing a beat, she turned and dialed the front desk right there in front of everyone. “Hi, could you check the room situation again? We need to arrange a suite for Mr. Abis.”
She hung up, turning back toward Abis, her smile warm and completely undisturbed. “You’re in luck, Mr. Abis. The front desk just told me someone canceled their booking. There’s exactly one last room left.”
Abis watched her, his smile growing even more intrigued. “Quite the coincidence… or maybe fate, don’t you think?” His tone held more than one meaning.

What I was dreading the most just happened, I think I need to move on from this story and read something else. This story is breaking my heart....
CHAPTER 1220 HAS NO WORDING JUST THE CHAPTER NUMBER...
Hopefully Emmy is level headed like she normally is and they can get past this. I'm praying!...
OMG! How can this be happening! If there is an issue in a marriage shouldn't it be talked through instead of someone believing rumors?...
Really, why is there always some home wrecker added to these stories? I always enjoyed reading this until now. Had to go and ruin a beautiful love story....
I enjoy reading this. I like that the storyline isn’t drawn out and moves on. I also appreciate chapters being added almost everyday, thank you....
