Emmy slept better than she had in ages, wrapped up in a feeling of safety she’d almost forgotten. When morning came, she woke up slowly and blinked at the ceiling, still half-dreaming. Suddenly she remembered something, her eyes flew open, and she reached for the spot next to her. It was empty. There was still a little warmth left on the sheets though, so James couldn’t have left long ago. Emmy groaned and hit the bed in frustration. Of all nights, why did she have to fall asleep so easily? He finally came to see her and she just slept right through it. Seriously, she could kick herself. She was so mad she almost laughed.
That afternoon, after her prenatal yoga, Emmy was in the study looking over some documents when Lorraine walked in with a bowl of fruit. Lorraine quietly closed the door behind her and walked over, looking more serious than Emmy had ever seen her.
“Ma’am.”
Emmy looked up. “Hm?”
Lorraine’s tone was grave. “It’s true that, at this stage of pregnancy, a little intimacy between husband and wife can be good for the baby. But you have to know when to stop. You’ve been out of it all day. Next time Mr. Nelson visits, I hope you’ll keep things in check.”
Emmy just stared, completely lost. It took her a few seconds to figure out what Lorraine meant, and then her face went bright red. She started waving her hands, all flustered. “No, Lorraine, you’ve got it all wrong! Last night, nothing happened. Honestly!”
But Lorraine just gave her this look like she’d seen it all and let out a sigh. “I just wanted to remind you, ma’am. You’re carrying two now, so please be extra careful.”
She set the fruit down and left, leaving Emmy sitting there ready to cry. If only Lorraine knew the real reason she’d been tired all day. She’d just spent the whole time beating herself up for sleeping so soundly last night, not for… whatever Lorraine thought had happened.
…
“No way,” Sylvia shot back. “Ms. Lincoln, every single machine went through triple checks before leaving the factory. We even brought in professionals to do field tests. Nothing went out unless it passed every test. There’s no way these basic problems got through.”
Danny looked serious. “Ms. Lincoln, these videos are spreading fast and they’re really hurting our brand. I’ll get Ms. Carter to launch the emergency PR plan right away.”
“Hold on.” Emmy’s voice was calm and steady. She took the tablet from Sylvia and quickly watched several of the videos herself. Then she looked up, her eyes clear and focused on Sylvia.
“Ms. Moore, I just need you to confirm again. The machines we sent out don’t have any of the problems in these videos, right?”

chapter 1251 has no wording, just the chapter number...
What I was dreading the most just happened, I think I need to move on from this story and read something else. This story is breaking my heart....

Hopefully Emmy is level headed like she normally is and they can get past this. I'm praying!...
OMG! How can this be happening! If there is an issue in a marriage shouldn't it be talked through instead of someone believing rumors?...
Really, why is there always some home wrecker added to these stories? I always enjoyed reading this until now. Had to go and ruin a beautiful love story....
I enjoy reading this. I like that the storyline isn’t drawn out and moves on. I also appreciate chapters being added almost everyday, thank you....
