But it wasn’t her cousin who refused to make things public—it was Aurora.
He had wanted to announce their relationship, but she’d chosen to keep it private.
Yet now, Yvonne had rushed to leak those photos online. Without Yvonne’s permission, her fans would never have dared to post such things.
The sudden shift between both sides’ actions made it obvious that her cousin could never have been involved with Yvonne.
If someone like Lucas had really left a trace that could be used against him, then he wouldn’t be Lucas.
Aurora looked at the photos calmly, her expression steady, looking calm.
The moment Megan handed her the phone, though, she regretted it.
What if Aurora only pretended not to care?
What if she was really hurt but too proud to show it?
These were intimate photos of her husband with another woman— whether they were real or not, no one could look at them without feeling something.
Watching closely, Megan studied every shift in Aurora’s expression, but there was none.
There was not even a flicker. Her eyes stayed serene and face composed.
“Aurora… do you really not care?” Megan asked quietly.
Aurora chuckled softly, flipping through the photos one by one before forwarding them to herself.
“What’s there to care about? These pictures are edited.”
“They’re photoshopped?” Megan stared in disbelief.
She hadn’t expected Aurora to recognize it so quickly, let alone be so certain. She’d assumed Aurora would at least want to confront Lucas.
Aurora’s certainty was contagious.
Aurora looked at her, unwavering. “Do you really think I wouldn’t recognize the man I share a bed with?”
Megan froze, momentarily speechless.
She thought about it and Aurora was absolutely right.
If someone couldn’t even recognize the person beside them every night, that would be truly pathetic. How foolish of her to even consider confronting her cousin about this.
Seeing Megan’s face twist in confusion again, Aurora tilted her head slightly. “What’s wrong? What are you still struggling with?”
Megan sighed and confessed her earlier thoughts, embarrassed by her own doubt.
Aurora couldn’t help but laugh softly. “Don’t worry. Even if you did confront him, he’d tell you exactly what I just did. The man in those photos isn’t Lucas. I know him better than anyone.”
