Chapter 100
“Okay…”
I wheeled myself towards the study, Xander was stunned, then couldn’t help but chuckle He didn’t stop me.
I finished all the work he had given me in his study; it was already 10 pm. Perhaps because I had eaten too much, I kept fighting off sleepiness. When I finished, my eyelids were drooping.
‘Mr. Shaw, I’m going home now.”
As I wheeled myself out, yawning repeatedly, my wheelchair veered off course and bumped into the coffee table. My knee was hit, affecting my wound. Instantly, my drowsiness vanished.
Xander quickly got up. Seeing my pained expression, “Did you hurt your wound?”
He crouched down and without a word, lifted my skirt to check my wound, just incase it reopened, and we needed to call a doctor.
I gasped.“I hurt it a little, but the wound shouldn’t be teared up.”
After checking and confirming that there was no bleeding, Xander’s eyes shifted from my wound to my slender, fair, and smooth egs. A fragrant scent wafted into his nostrils.
He swallowed. His palm suddenly felt itchy. He smelled the scent, and couldn’t control the urge to bite something, marking it. It was Sophia’s neck.
He decisively and quickly pulled down my skirt, his voice normal. “I’ll send
you home.”
wanted to say no, but I was already being pushed out.
We were silent along the way. Xander sent me home and left immediately, without a moment’s delay. I watched the man walk
way, a little puzzled, feeling like if he’d stayed a second longer, would have held him back…
ust then, my phone rang. Xander was waiting for the elevator outside. While I was checking my phone, the elevator arrived with a ling. Two residents from different floors could either be taking the same elevator, or… one resident could be going up while encountering another resident on a higher floor who was also going up…
Like this moment.
The elevator doors opened, revealing Jason, drunk and flushed, facing the expressionless Xander. Their eyes met. Both were urprised.
Xander’s expression was cold. How did he have the code for this floor? Did I give it to him?
I
You…!”
