Chapter167.
I added Robert to my contacts
The smile on my face was gentle, exuding a refreshing fragrance. My beauty, normally quite striking, was softened by a subtle, refined air that made me seem approachable. It was highly alluring. Only those who truly knew the understood my inner coldness.
“Sophia’s profile picture is as beautiful as you are in person,” Robert’s wolf was completely captivated by my beauty, forgetting that Mr. Shaw was still there.
Thank you.”
I graciously accepted the compliment.
Robert wanted to chat a little more, but a bone–chilling voice, accompanied by a terrifying alpha aura, cut through the air, “Robert, you seem to have a lot of free time.”
Robert’s heart skipped a beat. He was foolish enough to know the displeasure in Mr. Shaw’s tone. He quickly put away his phone, “I’ll get back to work.”
He turned and left, his speed rivalling a race walker.
I put my phone back in my pocket. Seeing Xander still looking displeased, I guessed it was Gabriel’s actions that had put him in a bad mood; Robert had just run into a buzz saw.
‘Mr. Shaw, I’ll take my luggage upstairs first.”
I picked up my two suitcases and headed towards the stairs.
A few steps later, I felt a scent of sandalwood and the clean aroma of morning dew, and my hands lightened. I turned my head to see Xander’s face. He’d taken my luggage.
I was a little shocked. Mr. Shaw carrying his secretary’s luggage was almost as unbelievable as Mr. Shaw driving his secretary.
My wolf gasped softly, “IT WAS TOTALLY ABSURD!”
Kander seemed to read my mind and said calmly, “Didn’t I say I don’t have a penchant for abusing my employees?”
He then carried my luggage upstairs.
stared at his back: Really? Carrying luggage is considered abuse? Is Mr. Shaw’s consideration for female employees this high?
Although it felt strange, I didn’t think much of it and followed him upstairs.
Jpstairs, there was a master bedroom, two guest rooms, and a study. The master bedroom was, naturally, for Xander.
chose a guest room, put down my luggage, and went to the master bedroom to hang Xander’s clothes. I’d read through the detailed ist of Mr. Shaw’s preferences that Zane had sent me, covering everything from food and drink to clothing.
I had a fleeting sense that… Zane was actually Xander’s soon–to–be partner.
My wolf’s criticism was even more fierce, “WHAT’S THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THIS AND WHAT A PARTNER DOESY
Looking back, I had once done the same for my partner, working hard, even cooking his favorite meals when I got home. The refrigerator and cupboards were always stocked with his favorite drinks. Every suit, every shirt in his closet was carefully ironed, meticulously matched with ties, to make it easy for the guy to look dashing in the morning… then he’d go off to bed with some other omegas.
Ah, love really makes people stupid and willing to suffer.
So is this suffering unavoidable? When it’s presented to you, you should decisively reject it! You can’t trust a bond relationship, it’s
better to err on the side of caution!

Sophia, do you have a grudge against my clothes?”
His cool voice drifted from the side.

I realized I’d been daydreaming while I was putting away his clothes, and had gotten carried away, wrinkling his shirt in my
excitement.
When did he come in? His eyes are really sharp.
