Chapter63.
A long arm intercepted her falling/body.
“Anna Moore, I know you’re not drunk, stop pretending!” Xander’s patience had run out.
Anna opened her eyes, her gaze clear and resentful. “Is that necessarily true?”
Xander:“I should be saying that. Either sit properly or get out!”
His tone was cold and intimidating. He was genuinely angry. His powerful Alpha presence erupted fully, and everyone felt a sudden difficulty in breathing.
The driver in front dared not breathe.
I couldn’t help but sneak a peek in the rearview mirror. I saw Anna stubbornly widening her misty eyes, desperately trying to hold back her tears.
“Stop the car!”
She suddenly shouted.
The driver naturally didn’t stop; he only took orders from Xander. Fearing she might get agitated and jump out of the car, I quickly
asked the driver to lock the doors.
Sure enough, the next second Anna tried to open the door, but thankfully it was locked. Even with Anna’s dangerous attempt to open the door, Xander didn’t even blink, maintaining his cold indifference.
“You hate me so much…”
Anna broke down. She curled her legs and buried her face in them, overwhelmed with sadness.
Hearing her sobs, I thought of my own heartbreak. I sighed inwardly, took out some tissues, and quietly passed them towards the
back…
“Sophia Wells!”
Xander frowned and looked at me.
[ pursed my lips and retracted my hand. Male werewolves are all the same. They’re either having affairs or being heartless!
Xander noticed my indignant expression and chuckled. His wolf was left dumbfounded, caught between laughter and tears, “I DON’T WANT HER TO MISUNDERSTAND ME!”
The car arrived at the hotel. Xander got out and strode inside.
Me:… He said *I* was responsible, and he really left…
I had no choice but to turn to Anna in the back seat.“Ms. Moore, I’ll get you a room.”
Anna sat rigidly, her aura cold.
After a long silence, she softly said, “No need for another room, I’ll stay in yours.”
‘Okay,” I agreed. There was another bed in the suite anyway.
We walked into the hotel together. I realized the woman who had been unconscious from drunkenness was now walking steadily.
She was faking it….
I let out a silent breath.
In the room, Anna said she wanted to take a bath.

You can’t take a bath after drinking. I’ll get you some honey water,” I advised.
Anna ignored me and walked towards the bathroom.

I stopped her. “If anything happens to you, how can I explain it to Mr. Shaw? I don’t believe you don’t know that you can’t bathe after drinking. This is self–abuse!”
Having her secret exposed, Anna’s eyes reddened again. I took advantage of the moment to help her onto the sufa.
I called the hotel manager to send a cup of honey water. My phone rang again before I hung up. My new phone only had two numbers saved: Xander Shaw’s and Zane’s.
Seeing it was Xander, I subconsciously glanced at Anna on the sofa. He probably softened up after calming down and was asking
about her. I answered, “Hello.”
‘Come here.”
Four simple words came from the other end.
I was stunned for a second before replying, “Okay.”
After hanging up, I went to Anna and said, “Mr. Shaw wants me to come over, Ms. Moore, please wait here. I’ll be right back.”
Anna slowly raised her head from the pillow. Her cold eyes scanned me from head to toe, and suddenly, as if understanding something, she gave a bitter smile, “Just go.”
