Bang Bang Bang! “Get up princess, time to go!” Liam yelled. It takes me a minute to remember what all happened yesterday. Stupid fucking guard. There are a lot better ways to wake someone up than banging on their door. Groaning, I threw the blankets off and slid out of bed, making my way to the bathroom.

“Fuck off” I mumbled loud enough for him to hear. I knew he heard me by the chuckling I heard from behind the door. I made a point to slam the bathroom door behind me. Which didn’t really matter, since I had forgotten all my clothes and towel. Sighing, I walked back out, grabbed what I needed and went to take a scolding hot shower.

After showering, I got dressed in simple blue jeans, white t-shirt, boots and left my hair to air dry in a side braid. I decided I didn’t need to dress to impress the Alpha. I don’t know what it means now that Zach found his mate. As much as it hurts, he will end up staying here with her. Should I leave and travel alone? I could see myself staying here. I do enjoy the quiet the forest brings. Well, I put this off as much as I could, time to go see the stupid alpha and get this over with. If he turns out to be a huge ass, I don’t have to stay. I can always leave.

Walking out of my bedroom, I saw Liam lounging on the couch with a fresh cup of coffee.

“I made a pot; I hope you don’t mind. You don’t seem like a morning person so I figured that is what you needed!” Liam said with a smirk as he took a sip. I gave him a look that said fuck off and stomped my way to the fridge and pulled out a Dr. Pepper and walked to the front door. I opened it and walked right out without seeing if he was following me. After a second, I heard the door shut and lock, so I knew he got the hint. Making my way to the car, I opened the pop and took a large drink. Nothing is better than the feeling of Dr. Pepper hitting your soul first thing in the morning.

“When I see a face with that expression it is usually after I made her cum” Liam said as he slid into the car.

Coughing from slightly chocking on my drink, I climbed into the car. “You think this is my cum face? You must not have made many women cum before then!” I stated firmly.

“We will see about that” Liam said quietly, and started driving to the packhouse.

“Tell me about the alpha.” I said after about 5 minutes.

“He is strict but fair. He does not take disrespect and can spot a liar a mile away. Alpha Paul is not someone you want to cross.” Liam said after a minute of thinking. I saw him flinch a little and wondered what happened to make him do that.

I didn’t respond after that. I wasn’t exactly nervous, but I wasn’t ready to tell him my story. I didn’t fully understand my story as it was. Maybe I will just keep it simple and straight to the facts. I saw Liam look at me a few times trying to gauge my reactions, but I wasn’t giving anything away. I am trained to keep a straight face and feeling inside at all times.

Hearing gravel under the tires pulled me out of my thoughts. We were here. The packhouse was more like a mansion! It was huge! Stones were covered with grass and shingles of grey color, black shutters framed the windows with a flower box on the bottom of each. The lawn was nicely manicured. They did little to disrupt the natural forest and did more to blend in.

I saw two people standing at the front French doors. One I knew instantly as Alpha Paul and the other was a little lady who was tucked in his arms. Must be his Luna. She was a petite but tall woman with brown hair that shined red when the sun hit it. I walked up to them with Liam by my side.

“Alpha Paul, Luna Autumn, this is Nina.” Liam said professionally.

I gave him a sideways look and smirked a little before straightening my back, “It is a pleasure to meet you both, I am sorry it is under these circumstances and I would like to extend my gratitude for the help I received last evening.” I said.
