“It is her head; I saw a rouge stand over her. I don’t know what he hit her with though” I said. The nurse nodded and the doctor came busting in. He started ordering tests and a head scan. Another nurse came up to me and told me I needed to wait outside in the hall. I vaguely heard her and I let her lead me to the waiting room. I saw Wyatt and Zach bust through the doors at the same time. They both noticed me and looked at all the blood I had on me.

“It’s Brookes, she had a really bad head wound. I ran her here. The doctor is with her.” I said quietly. Zach looked enraged. He let out the most deadly grow I have ever heard from him. Wyatt had to restrain him.

“Zach, that is enough!” I said with as much authority as I could manage. Zach instantly calmed down and looked at me, but there was so much rage in them. “I already killed him. I snapped his neck. She will be okay but I need you to calm down a little so we cannot disrupt the doctors as they work. She will be okay” I said calmly. Zach just nodded and walked over to the chair and sat down with his hands on either side of his head gripping his hair.

“Are you okay?” Wyatt asked me, to bring my attention back to him.

Looking down, I had blood everywhere. All down my chest, stomach, arms, and even my neck and face. “Yeah, I don’t have a scratch on me, this is all Brooke’s. Are the women okay that were in the safe room? I assume they didn’t make it on time. The door was open when I got there.”

“Yeah, they are fine. They mind-linked me and told me what happened, and what you did. Thank you for protecting them. Before I could answer, more people piled in. Some wounded and some looking for Brooke. Alpha and Luna came through and Wyatt was off talking to them, so I sat down by Zach.

“Thank you, Nina” Zach said in pure agony.

“You don’t have to thank me. I would do it again if needed.”

“You can go shower; I will let you know what they say when it is time.”

“You sure? I don’t mind staying.”

Just then the doctor walked out, “Zach? Alpha? Luna?”

“Yes doctor! Is she okay?” Zach jumped up and ran to the doctor.

“She is in a coma currently. We were able to stabilize her but she had significant swelling in her brain. She will need to remain in a coma till the swelling goes down. She should pull through but we will know in 48 hours if she will make it. It is up to her now. The mate bond is strong. I will need you to be beside her and help her heal.” The doctor finished. He nodded to the Alpha and walked away.

Zach ran into the room and the Alpha and Luna were right behind him. I took that as my cue that I was not needed here anymore. I quietly slipped past everyone else and made my way outside. The smell of blood hung in the air.

“Nina!” I heard someone yell. Turning around, I found Wyatt jogging up to me. He was also covered in blood. “I will need to talk to you about what happened.”

“Can it wait till I have had a shower?”

“Yes, I am going down to the dungeons to interrogate some we caught. I will see you later this evening them.” Wyatt said with a frown.

“I want to go with you!” I said and crossed my arms over my chest, making my boobs stick out. I saw his eyes glance down.

“That is no place for a girl” he stated firmly.

“First of all, I am not just a dainty girl. I can handle it and if they are after me, I need to know” I said stubbornly.

“Whatever, you will stay in the room off to the side. There is a one-way mirror and it is sound proof. I will have someone stay with you, but if you interrupt my interrogation, I will have you punished”, Wyatt said venomly.

“Got it, let’s go!” I said and placed my hands on my hips.

As we walked to the dungeons, I could see everyone cleaning up the fight scene. They had a stack of bodies and I watched as they were lite on fire.

“Over 50 rogues. We haven’t had an attack this size in a long time. Why do you think they are after you?” Wyatt said, as he could read my mind.
