“Oh, wait!” I said and ran back inside my room. I went to my closet and grabbed the two books on prophesies and made my way back out to Wyatt, who was standing in the hallway waiting for me. “The prophesy books” and I showed him. Wyatt nodded and took the books from me and grabbed my hand.

“Why are you nervous?” Wyatt asked, damn this bond.

“What if your dad doesn’t accept this and throws me out?”

“First of all, if he felt you were a threat, he would have killed you by now. Second of all, you are my mate and, therefore, you are the future Luna of this pack. We are the future and he will help us and guide us to be the best Alpha and Luna there is. He might be a hardass, but he cares about his people and will do anything to protect them.”

“If you say so”, Wyatt gave me a reassuring nod and kissed my forehead before he knocked on the door.

“Enter”

Wyatt opened the door and walked inside, pulling me along with him. The Alpha was sitting at his desk and Luna was lounging on the couch with her feet tucked under her. Upon seeing us, she ran to me and gave me a huge hug.

“I am so happy he found his mate!” Luna Autumn said. I felt like love and support flowed through me from her.

“Thank you, Luna. I am the lucky one!” I said back and I felt Alpha Paul’s approval at my response.

“Please call us Paul and Autumn! You are our daughter-in-law now!” I felt all their support of our mating but I still felt uneasy. Will they still feel that way once they know my secret?

Alpha Paul sensed my unease, “Are you going to explain why you feel uneasy about this?”

“DAD!” Wyatt said, annoyed. “Let her at least get used to this before you grill her!”

“Seriously, Paul! We talked about this!” Autumn said.

“It’s okay guys. I understand. I will tell you guys everything now. I do ask, respectfully,” Paul nodded in knowledge, “that I tell my whole story without interruption and you are free to ask any questions you have after I am finished.”

Paul studied me and finally nodded and gestured for me to sit in the arm chair. Wyatt made a move but I held up a hand and stopped him. “I need to do this my way, please let me” I said, I could tell he was not happy, but nodded and stepped back, folding his arms over his chest, looking intimidating and sexy as hell all in one.

“To start with, I never lied to you. I didn’t have all the facts, I still don’t, but I do have more information now. You know my story, my parents died, ex-boyfriend” I heard Wyatt let out a low growl at that, “and Zach and my ‘vacation’. We did meet the ‘The Three Bandits’ along the way and yes, I killed them with Zach’s help. No, I did not know who they were till I was told later. I had never heard of them before that. Yes, I do understand what it meant to kill them, now. I was told by the Luna there that her mom was a witch that made artifacts that were meant to aid a person in their quest. Unknowingly, my mom bought this ring for me on my 16th birthday and gave it to me. The Luna then said that her mom made a matching necklace and also gave that to me. She is unaware of what powers they possess, but I still haven’t figured that out yet either. When Wyatt interrogated the rogues, they spoke of a prophesy and of a girl that described me.” I saw him nod in understanding, obviously, Wyatt had told him. “I went through your library and found this book. It describes how the Moon Goddess created prophesies and what happened. Basically, there was one family that was made more powerful than the rest. Eventually, they were killed off. According to Zach, the rumor was that a young girl escaped but she was never found. The prophesy said that someone from that blood line would come forth and reclaim their title as King and Queen of the kingdom. It also said that the girl will not come into her full powers till she meets her mate and is marked by him.”

“You believe this girl is you?” Alpha Paul asked. I felt only curiosity come from him.

“Well, due to all the rogue attacks that seemed to be centered around me, and I fit the description plus look at our marks.” I finished and pulled my strap to the side so they could look. Both Paul and Autumn walked over to me and looked at my mark and then at Wyatt’s mark. “I don’t know what this all means. I don’t know who is behind the attacks either. I think they found me by my blood. I, unknowingly, gave my blood for donation for those who need transfusions. I didn’t realize they put them into a world-wide data base and I didn’t know someone would recognize my DNA make-up and figure out who I was and try to kill me before I even knew who I was.”

“I already have Justin out scouting rogue camps to try to find information”, Wyatt piped up and I about broke my neck looking at him. I let the betrayed feeling and anger I felt go through him. His eyes glanced down at me but kept his composure.

“Good, we will need all the information we can get. I agree, I think you are who the prophesy is talking about. I also have my own information I will share with you.” Paul said as he went to a bookshelf and grabbed a book. It was a fairly large book that read Family Crests.

I got excited and stood up waiting for him to open it. “It so happens I was familiar with that story and I have done my research on blood lines as a hobby.” Paul flipped a few pages in and stopped when it said ‘The Abbett Family’ and below it was a crown with a sword threw it. I was left speechless. Alpha Paul read the text,

‘The Abbett family was said to be the original family, the Mood Goddess blessed with abilities to make them stand out from the rest. They were honest, firm, strict rulers but also very compassionate and fair. The town’s people began to become jealous and would often kill a member of the family if they were seen walking around without a guard. A wealthy man from the ‘Barcroft’ family was mated to the daughter of the Alpha from the Abbett family. They mated and produced an heir that had no special abilities. The ‘Barcroft’ family said that the Abbett family lied to them about having abilities. They wouldn’t listen to the reason if only certain people were blessed with abilities and not everyone was born that way. The Barcroft family killed the daughter and child. They got followers and overthrew the Abbott family, taking their place and calling themselves king and queen. The Abbott family had two daughters. The second daughter managed to escape through a tunnel system under her room. The Barcroft family was never able to find her. They sent out multiple search parties but never found her. Rumor was that she was born with gifts and used them to hide away.”

“There is no documentation of her or her whereabouts after,” Alpha Paul said.

I was stunned. I had no idea and I wasn’t sure how to feel right now. I felt Wyatt’s concern for me, Paul’s curiosity over what abilities I might have, and Luna’s fear.
