Slowly, the blackness is fading, and I can hear some whispering. I am hit full force with a very concerned and annoyed emotions. It is way too early for this! I just want to go back to sleep but the whispering is pretty loud now. Peaking my eyes open, I saw Wyatt is standing at the door in only sweat pants. His muscular back was turned toward me and showing off his tattoos. The bedroom door is cracked enough for his head to put threw and his foot in on the inside of the door, keeping whoever wants to come in doing so.

“Who is it?” I asked softly. I knew they could hear me. Wolf hearing is amazing!

Seeing Wyatt’s back tense and a low growl escaped his lips. I knew he wasn’t happy I was awake and his emotions were like slapping me in the face. Closing my eyes, I focused and imagined a wall blocking everyone else’s emotions from entering me. I slammed it shut. Now, I could only feel my own. Not sure why I did that, it just felt ‘right’ like I just knew what to do.

Opening my eyes. I saw Wyatt had shifted and Kelly’s head was popped through with a huge grin on her face. I was happy to see her but it’s too early!

“Go Away! It is too early to be awake!” I said, groaning. Rolling over and pulling the blankets over my head did nothing to stop this ball of fire from entering the room, jumping on the bed and pulling the blankets off me! “What the hell!?” I said, sitting up and trying to adjust my eyes.

Wyatt was shaking his head with a smirk on his face. He walked to the bathroom and closed the door.

“I came with Wyatt. No way in hell was I going to let you do this by yourself! I missed you and was sooo worried about you!”

“Did Zach and Brooke come?”

“Zach did, Brooke didn’t. Both Wyatt and Zach said no, and Wyatt had to command her to stay there. She doesn’t fight and would be in the way of this war. Wyatt brought most of the warriors we have. The war will be soon.”

“I never wanted this war”

“I know sweety but here it is. I am supposed to take you to the hospital, get you checked out and then we need to make a few phone calls. Your bloodline got out when you were kidnapped and now everyone knows who you are. The council is coming here to do a blood test and properly introduce you into what being King and Queen means. This is a big deal. Not everyone will be happy to hear what changes will be happening.”

“So, it’s all true, I will be queen and rule over people I know nothing about and fight this guy that wants me for whatever reason.” I rubbed my hand over my face in a scrubbing way. “Why couldn’t that all be a dream?”

“I know babe, I have been doing a lot of research on this. Wyatt has been so focused on finding you, he has called in every ally he has and gathered information on each pack. Don’t think I didn’t want to not find you, but I knew my brother would do it and I needed to help in another way.”

“I don’t think that at all. I will need your help getting me through this!”

“An official title would be appropriate! Maybe QPA? Queen’s personal assistant? Top Royal Advisor?”

Laughing, “You can be called whatever you want!”

Wyatt emerged to Kelly jumping up and down on the bed clapping. He raised an eyebrow at me and I just rolled my eyes at both of them, shaking my head.

“Why are you so happy?” Wyatt asked Kelly.

“I can have an official royal title when you guys become King and Queen!”

“What if your mate doesn’t want to stand beside us?” Wyatt teased.

“Well then, I do not need a mate then! He will be no mate of his if he isn’t on the side of right!” Kelly said stubbornly and folded her arms over her chest. Wyatt rolled his eyes and started getting dressed in jeans and a t-shirt.

“You have somewhere you need to be?” I asked him. I was a little sad we weren’t going to be spending every minute together now I am back. That is very clingy of me. Eewwwww!

“I would love to be with you, babe, but I have to make sure my allies are coming and, since the council will be here today, I need to prepare for this. Kelly is to stay by your side 100% of the time. Even watch you pee. You will not leave the packhouse. I have decided to call the doctor and he will be here in about 15 minutes to check you over. The library is on the 3rd floor, have fun finding it girls. Reed and I will be in his office with a few guys. Link me if you need anything that would require you to leave the house and I will get it myself. It is my understanding that Kelly has been doing her own research and you need to prepare too. I would love to coddle you and protect you from this, but I can’t and I need to once again be a strong woman for me. I am doing everything in my power to make sure you are safe. The council will not be friendly, and information needs to be on our side. They will not allow me to hide you and do the talking. I do not hold much power till it is official. I will be there during the meeting, but it is you they want to hear from.”

I stared at the bed, letting his words sink in. He was right, damn it. I am the only person who can stand up and take a stance. I need to be the girl my dad raised me to be. Strong will, determined and stubborn. I need to get ahold of my powers and control them. I can do this, I will do this! This is my right, and nothing will stop me from becoming queen and ending the wolf tracking that is happening.

I looked up at Wyatt with a new fire in my eyes. He nodded and understood. Coming to sit on the bed, he cupped my face in his hands, “I am so sorry this is happening to you. I will be beside you every step of the way. You will never be alone again. You are my mate, my queen, my lover and my rock. We will make it through this” and he kissed me deeply before he walked out of the room and slammed the door.
