Emerald Eyed Luna novel Nina (by Mrs.Smith) novel Chapter 52

I was so focused on my mission I didn’t even pay attention to where we were going. I had the image of a hot shower. The water running down my body, the smell of shampoo and conditioner. I wanted to scrub every inch of my body free of the memory of that place.

Reed stopped walking in front of a door. “Here is your room. I will have food brought to you and it will be on your bed when you are done showering. The closet is stalked and should be around the right size for you. Chose whatever you want to wear. It is for guests to use and take as needed. I have also had a female lay out all the items you may need. Again, use whatever you want. There is a phone by the bed. Press 1 and you will get my office, 9 will go to my personal cell. I don’t allow anyone to use that, so please refrain from telling people. Only certain phones have that ability anyway. Let me know if you need anything else”

“Thank you” I said. Reed nodded and turned to walk away. “Reed?”

Reed stopped and turned, waiting for me to speak. It took me a second to think of what I exactly wanted to say. “I… um…”

Reed walked over to me and put a hand on my shoulder, “I know, you are most welcome. Eventually, we will get to know each other. Wyatt is like my brother and will hopefully be here tomorrow sometime. I will have to check the flight schedule. I will always stand beside you two.” Then he turned and walked away before the tears could spill. He knew how much I appreciated what he did for me.

Opening the door, I was greeted with a smell I could only describe as ‘clean’. There was a freshness to the room with a hint of lavender. Everything was white, cream and tan. The king-sized bed was off to the right with white silk sheets and a tan covering. There was a couch against the bed of the bed with matching armchairs and end tables. A T.V. was hung from the wall directly in front of the bed. There was a little wall dividing the room but ended halfway into the room. The other side of the wall was a kitchenette and bar. The walls were painted off white with pictures of wildlife. The carpet was a cream color and matched perfectly with a dark wooden door. There was only one door on the left, so I opened it and saw the bathroom. The floor was dark wood, the vanity was a double square sink with a white and black marble top with white drawers. Someone had laid out a toothbrush and toothpaste, hairbrush and ties, tampons, pads, deodorant and lotion. Next to them were 2 neatly folded white towels. Walking more into the bathroom, I saw the shower against the far wall. It was white tile with a line of green decorative tile down the middle horizontally. It was a stand-up shower, but they had a built-in seat opposite the shower head. Simple but effective. A door stood out adjacent to the shower. Upon inspection, it opened up into a huge walk-in closet. Two rows of clothes were hanging from the walls. There was a dresser against the wall and shoes lined the floor two rows high. They ranged from sandals to 5-inch heels with everything in-between.

Since I was going to go to bed, I chose a simple t-shirt and shorts. I had to dig a little to find each item. Everything was pretty expensive looking and I wanted a $5 pair of shorts to sleep in. Not a $100 silk nightly that ended right below my ass that would probably end up around my waist, twisted and being annoying. I found some underwear also. Everything had tags on it so I assumed it was all unworn. Reed did say that it was for guests to use…

I went back to the bathroom and turned the shower on. Moving the dial over more on the hot setting. Making quick work of getting rid of these clothes, the water was calling to me. I placed my dirty clothes in the trash and my clean clothes on the vanity. Grabbing a towel, I used the hook closest to the shower. The glass shower doors were beginning to fog over, which told me it was the perfect temperature. Sliding in, the hot water beat down on my leg. The water instantly turned brown and red as the blood, dirt and filth washed away. Slowly easing my whole body under the scolding water, I felt each tight muscle in my back. The setting on the shower was to massage and it did its job! It was about five minutes later after just letting the water rinse my hair did the water stop turning a different color.

Grabbing shampoo, lathering my hair, a little moan escaped my lips. How I missed this. I will never take a shower for granted again! I repeated shampooing three times to make sure everything was gone till moving on to conditioner. I let it sit as I grabbed the body wash and the loofah sitting next to it. It was lavender scented, and I could feel the exhaustion setting in my bones. Lathering my whole body and making sure every inch was covered from head to toe before washing it off. Washing the conditioner out too. The face wash was last to get spotting and it got used twice. I tried not to scrub till my face was raw, but I needed to get everything off to me.

After, I finally felt clean. Eying the seat, trying to decide if sitting down was the best decision. I wanted to sit down and relax, let the water run over me. However, sleep would most likely win, and I would be woken up to cold water hitting me and that would not be ideal. Sighing, I turned the water off and opened the door, grabbing my towel. I took my sweet time. I wanted to get pampered a little. Once I was dry, I put on the lotion. Every inch of me felt extremely dry and itchy. Wrapping the towel around my head, I got lotion on and then eventually got dressed. These clothes were the softest thing I have felt in a long time. It most made me moan with pleasure to just have clean clothes. Taking the towel off, I just brushed my hair out and decided to let it air dry. No reason to worry about it now. Using the toilet was the last thing I needed to do. Finally, satisfied with my sanitation level, I was ready to eat and go to bed. I stepped out into the room, and I saw someone I was not expecting to see! I inhaled deeply, gave away my presence as my guest turned and saw me standing there.

“Wyatt?” I asked shakily

“Nina!” Wyatt said and jogged over to me to scooping me up in a huge hug. I couldn’t believe it! He was here! I was not expecting him till tomorrow.
