A few days went by and next thing I knew it was the day of the meeting. Alphas from all over were either arriving for the meeting or, if they could not travel, were video calling in. To say I was nervous would be an understatement. My body couldn’t stop bouncing. I had my speech all laid out in front of me. Kelly and I have been perfecting it for hours now, trying to find the right words to put down. Wyatt was pretty sure someone was going to be challenging me, but I welcomed that kind of fight. Physical fighting, I could do. I have been practicing my abilities enough now that people give me worried looks when I walk into the room. Trying to convince people they should be on my side was a whole different form of concern. Public speaking was never my strong suit. My psalms would get sweaty, I would start stuttering and I would get dizzy.

Wyatt kept reminding me I was born to lead and, being a leader, was able to encourage and set an example for the people. If I couldn’t speak to them, how could I lead them? I am thinking, right now, that the Moon Goddess made a mistake choosing me. I just kept on pacing in my room between the bed and the chairs.

“You are going to wear a hole in the floor if you don’t stop pacing!” Kelly said as she wandered into my room without knocking.

“I can’t help it! I have no idea how I am going to last being in the car for days!”

“It is hours, not days! Don’t be so dramatic!” Kelly said, laughing at me.

“How do I look?” I asked. Kelly picked out my outfit for me. She chose to keep it business but sexy still. I have on a black pencil skirt that ended just below my knees, a white button up with a black blazer and black, red bottom heels. She had my hair curled and put into a low messy bun with a few whispies around my face. She kept my makeup simple with foundation, blush, a light smoky eye and mascara. It has been so long since I actually had any makeup on. It was like I was looking at someone else completely.

“I created a masterpiece, and I will be very pissed off if you mess it up!” Kelly said firmly.

“Yes…” I almost said ‘yes mom’ but I stopped myself. I miss her. My mom would have been proud of me and told me to ‘buck up’ to keep my back straight, my head held high and to grab every male out there by their balls and rip them off if they tried to challenge me.

“Where did…” Kelly started but the boys walked through the door.

“Beautiful”, Wyatt said as he came up to me and gave me a kiss on the lips. I refused to wear lipstick as I kept nibbling on them.

“You ladies ready?” Reed asked. Both men were dressed in an all-black suit with a black dress shirt under it.

I groaned loud enough that, apparently, they all heard it. “You will do great!” Wyatt tried to encourage me. “Got your speech?”

I held up my binder with them inside. “Yup”

“Awesome, let’s go. We need to get there a little early so we can make sure everything is in place,” Reed said.

Wyatt walked over to the door and held it open for us. Kelly wasted no time in grabbing my arm and dragging me out the door. Reed and Wyatt were laughing at me.

“You guys realize I can just electrocute you, right?” I said threateningly.

That shut them up quickly but they still had a smirk on their faces. I tried giving them my best death glare, but it didn’t faze them. Assholes.

Justin was driving with Maverick in the passenger seat, Kelly and Reed in the middle and Wyatt and I in the back. I totally forgot about Maverick and Kelly’s side fling. I kept staring at his face to see how this was going to go.

“He knows and doesn’t care. They never had feelings for each other,” Wyatt mind-linked me.

“When someone would challenge me, she told me to buck up and grab him by his balls and rip them off”. I said nonchalantly.

Every guy in the car winced and closed their legs a little tighter. That did make me fight back laughing, a little.

“Damn woman!” Wyatt said as he cringed away from me. I wasn’t having it and I grabbed him and pulled him closer to me. He barely fought me, instead he hugged me against him. “You can castrate any male that doesn’t believe you.” He said as he kissed my forehead.

“For the record, we all believe you!” Justin shouted from the front.

The rest of the car ride was made up of us trying to find different ways to force the Alphas to follow me. They even had bets on what ability I would use to accomplish it. I felt so relaxed and happy. Well, until Justin ruined it and said we arrived.

“Don’t! Don’t do that. Keep that happy feeling going!” Wyatt said. He had forced me to look him in the eyes. Okay, I can do this. I am their queen, I am their rightful ruler. Worst case, they lose their balls.

As we got out, different people were moving around. Each guy had placed themselves around me like a bodyguard. Kelly had grabbed my arm and linked them together. Wyatt on my left, Reed on the other side as Kelly, Justin and Maverick behind us. It has never been an issue to keep my aura to myself before, but I felt Wyatt’s and Reed’s expand. Wyatt’s was much more powerful than Reed’s, as he was supposed to be king, but Reed was pretty powerful in himself. Each wolf we encountered bowed and showed respect to us as we made our way to the office. Kelly, Justin, Maverick and I will hang out there till we are ready. Wyatt and Reed needed to see a few details.

“Here we are ladies. Please help yourself to any drinks, no alcohol and/or food. Relax and make yourself comfortable. Justin and Maverick are going to stay here with you guys.” Wyatt turned to look at them. “If one hair on their head is damaged, I will break your arms. Got it?”

They both visibly winced at that, “Yes Alpha” they said and left.
