Encore of the Avenging Muse (Sylvia and Rupert) novel Chapter 666

The bachelorette party.

Just as Sylvia finished her phone call with Lester, her cab pulled up outside the hotel.

Due to Reese's physical limitations, Lester, as her brother, naturally took it upon himself to handle the bachelorette party arrangements personally.

That was why he had arrived at the hotel early in the morning to oversee the setup.

Not wanting to inconvenience him, Sylvia took a cab by herself.

Still keeping Sienna's ominous warning in mind, she intentionally chose to arrive late, hoping to avoid drawing any unnecessary attention.

Walking into the hotel, she found the lobby mostly empty, but the sheer extravagance of the decorations still left her slightly awestruck.

Beyond the hotel's inherently luxurious interior, a massive, fully operational carousel had been moved straight into the lobby to satisfy Reese's fairytale dreams.

Sylvia initially assumed it was just a stationary prop, but as she stepped closer, she realized it was actually spinning and playing music.

However, it wasn't playing a childish nursery rhyme. It was playing... the Wedding March.

Quite fitting for the occasion.

As she stood there in a trance, a hotel staff member approached her.

Seeing Sylvia dressed in a formal gown, he instantly recognized her as a guest and eagerly halted the carousel.

"Miss, Ms. Sanford mentioned that guests could take photos here to be compiled into a commemorative album later. Everyone else has already taken theirs. Which horse would you like to sit on?"

Sylvia wanted to decline, but a beautiful white horse had stopped right in front of her.

She pointed to it. "This one is fine."

"Great choice! A lot of people loved this little white horse today. It looks incredibly photogenic."

Noticing that Sylvia was wearing a lace glove on one hand, with faint glimpses of bandages underneath, the staff member considerately brought over a small step stool and helped her up.

Before starting the ride, he thoughtfully pointed out a specific spot.

"Miss, the light refracting from the dome hits that exact spot beautifully. It'll make for a gorgeous photo, and it matches your dress perfectly tonight."

"Thank you."

Perhaps because the young man was so kind, Sylvia let go of her previous anxieties, leaning against the pole as she pulled out her phone.

The carousel began to spin slowly, and the voices on the opposite side gradually became clearer.

"Mr. Rupert, Ms. Sanford, please lean in a little closer..."

Sylvia looked toward the sound and saw Reese linking arms with Rupert, taking photos next to the carousel.
