Instantly, all of Lester's friends turned their gazes to Sylvia, seemingly pondering what Fay meant by 'a couple of comments.'

If they pushed it, the conversation would inevitably loop back to Rupert.

Sylvia cut her off swiftly. "The party just started. Walking around like this isn't appropriate. I'll accompany you to go change."

Besides, this was all happening right under Lester's nose. Whether it was for Lester's sake or Reese's, there was no way Fay would try anything too outrageous.

"That's more like it." Fay flipped her skirt with her usual spoiled arrogance, spun on her heel, and marched away.

As Sylvia turned to follow, Lester reached out and caught her arm.

"Call me if anything happens."

"Okay."

Sylvia turned and hurried after Fay.

The moment they stepped into the hotel room and the door clicked shut, Fay suddenly snapped, whirling around to glare viciously at Sylvia.

"Have you no shame? Why are you still clinging to Lester?"

"Fay, I don't care what you think of me, but don't forget where we are. Do you know what today is? If anything happens to me, Lester will find out immediately," Sylvia warned loudly.

Fay sneered. "Do you really think you're his girlfriend now? How dare you speak to me in that tone! Of course I know what today is. It's the day your reputation gets completely destroyed in Kingstoria. So what if Lester finds out afterwards?"

Sensing the imminent danger, Sylvia instinctively took two steps back, preparing to bolt for the door.

But without warning, Fay lunged forward, pressing a cloth forcefully over Sylvia's mouth and nose.

In a mere three seconds, Sylvia felt all the strength drain from her limbs, her body collapsing onto the floor.

Right before her consciousness faded, she felt Fay dragging her toward the wardrobe. When Fay pushed the doors open, a hidden passageway was revealed.

This room was secretly connected to the suite next door.

Fay dumped her onto the bed in the adjacent room, turned around, and slipped back through the hidden door.

Staring blankly at the ceiling, Sylvia assumed Fay had drugged her to do something unspeakable.
