Chapter 441 Prescient Dreams
Dreaming about a complete stranger?
That was more than a little far–fetched…
Flashed
Robin wasn’t in a rush. She spoke calmly. “I know you don’t believe me, and honestly, that’s completely fair. Even I think it sounds insane, and I’m the one it happened to. But it did happen. Think about it–if we’ve truly never met, how would I know your name?”
Dave blinked, momentarily dazed, but recovered quickly. “Plenty of people in this base know my name. You could’ve asked around.”
“Is that so?”
Robin smiled. “Then, how do you explain the fact that you’ve never told a single soul you have an ability, and yet I know about it?”
A jolt of shock shot through Dave’s chest.
“I don’t just know you have an ability. I know exactly what it is.”
Robin continued. “That name of yours–it’s not your real name, is it? It’s just a nickname you gave yourself based on your ability. Am I wrong?”
Dave’s pupils contracted violently, his face a mask of disbelief.
She even knew that.
“So, do you believe me now?”
“You… that dream of yours really is something else.”
Dave murmured, his voice barely above a whisper.
This was beyond anything he could have imagined.
But just as quickly his skepticism resurfaced. “Even if you know about my ability, that doesn’t

“Every last bit of it.”
My past life has felt like a dream, so technically, saying it that way wasn’t even a lie.
Robin thought to herself.
“Okay… okay.”
Dave rubbed his temples. “You’ve convinced me.”
He abruptly switched topics, his eyes locking onto the steaming self–heating instant stew with an intensity that bordered on desperation, “So, can I eat now?”
Robin couldn’t help but laugh. “Of course. I brought it for you.”
Dave didn’t stand on ceremony. He dropped into the chair, grabbed the container, and started shoveling food into his mouth like a man possessed.
One container of instant stew wasn’t nearly enough to fill him up.
But even though his stomach was still half–empty, the infusion of salt, oil, and nutrients gave his body a deep, indescribable sense of satisfaction.
He wiped his mouth. “So, you went through all this trouble to find me because you want…”
“I want you to leave Heningford Base with us.”
“What?”
Dave was caught off guard.
“In the dream, you told me something.”
Robin’s lips curved into a knowing smile. “The reason you’ve been hiding your ability from the start is that you accidentally discovered that a number of powerful people inside Heningford Base have been disappearing under mysterious circumstances.”
Wait–she knew about that, too?
This time, Dave had no choice but to believe her.
She knew far too much.
“I distinctly remember you saying you only got here a couple of days ago.”
“But didn’t I also say I dreamed everything?”
(*
Dave’s mouth twitched. Everything that had happened today was, frankly, the most surreal experience of his entire life.
“So, what you’re saying is… we kind of have no choice but to work together?”
