Chapter 110 A Sudden Turn

Tim showed exactly why he used to be a Special Forces soldier. He didn’t have any abilities, but he knew how to take down a zombie in seconds.

Robin didn’t move.

She was waiting.

The air smelled like burnt meat. Fewer and fewer zombies were charging the second floor.

Everyone gave it one last push and finally cleared out the last few zombies.

The stairs were now covered in zombie remains. There was a thick layer of them, almost blocking half their view.

But before anyone could breathe a sigh of relief, a loud roar echoed from below. A charred, blackened zombie sprinted up at insane speed!

The fire had burned its skin to a crisp and even melted its eyeballs, but none of that had affected it at all!

Everyone thought the danger was over, but they had missed one.

This was a Level 2 zombie!

The person standing at the edge of the stairs didn’t even have time to react. He still had a smile on his face. ThenSquelch!

His eyes widened. He slowly looked down.

He couldn’t believe it. A burnedblack claw had gone straight through his body!

The zombie grabbed his ribs and yanked!

It was like a rain of blood. A guy who was just standing there alive a second ago was torn in half right in front of everyone!

And it got worse. More fastmoving shadows appeared behind it, rushing closer.

All of them were Level 2 zombies!

Robin’s heart sank.

Just like she thought. This minihorde had more than one Level 2 zombie.

Nobody saw this coming.

Screams finally broke the silence. To be so close to winning and then have a deeper nightmare show up was terrifying.

They had just fought a battle. Everyone was exhausted. They didn’t even have the strength to lift a finger, let alone fight stronger zombies.

The zombies hunched over, tearing into the body of the guy they just killed. The sounds of chewing and swallowing filled the air.

They ate like animals, burying their faces in the mess. With blood splashing everywhere, it looked like a sick version of a watermeloneating contest.

In a matter of seconds, what used to be a living person was nothing but a white skeleton. The five Level 2 zombies finally looked up. Everyone’s hearts skipped a beat.

A creepy silence filled the air. Martin’s jaw tightened, and he slowly moved his hand to his lower back.

That’s where the gun Robin gave him was hidden.

The five zombies moved!

Martin braced himself to pull his weapon, but then five deafening gunshots beat him to it.

Bang! Bang! Bang! Bang! Bang!

Each shot was clean and fast, no hesitation. Everyone watched as the zombiesheads exploded. Their bodies were still leaning forward like they were about to charge, but there was nothing left above their necks.

Everyone was bewildered.

It happened so fast that they couldn’t even process what they were seeing. They just stared with wide eyes as the five headless zombies stood frozen for a second before crashing to the floor.

What

What the hell just happened?!

Tim was the first to snap out of it. He quickly turned to look at Robin.

Sure enough, she was standing there with her head tilted, calmly putting her gun away.

That gun

Tim was totally shocked.

A Desert Eagle!!!
