Chapter 153 A Capitalist
Wayne’s eyes widened in angef

He tried to argue, but Serena cut him off with a wave of her hand. “Enough. Stop talking. We’ll do it Dennis’s way.
As soon as she finished speaking, the others pulled ropes out of their backpacks. Ignoring Wayne’s resistance, they tied him up tightly.
“Nice move, Dennis. You’ve got guts!” Wayne snapped.
He struggled a few times, but couldn’t move at all.
He glared at Dennis. “I finally see you for who you really are. I can’t believe I called you a friend for all these years. I was blind!”
Dennis said, “Wayne, you know I didn’t mean it like that. It really hurts that you think of me this way.”
But his eyes were full of smug satisfaction, like his plan had worked.
Serena said calmly, “If it turns out you’re not infected, we’ll untie you. For now, just stay here. We still need to go to the sixth floor to find the others.”
They had come out to look for backup, but instead of finding help, they hit a brick wall. They’d also suffered heavy losses. Serena was in a bad mood, her mind stuck on one thought.
If we hadn’t run into those people, none of this would have happened!
But no matter how angry she was, she couldn’t show it.
Because they were no match for them at all.
They could only swallow their anger.
While things were tense and gloomy on their side, Robin and the others were in a great mood.
This trip, they not only gathered enough medicine but also earned a lot of points.
“Let’s take a short break here,” Robin said.
The zombies in this area were mostly cleared out. The environment wasn’t great–zombie corpses everywhere–but it was safe.
Everyone quickly cleaned up a spot on the ground and sat down.
Monica hesitated, then walked up to Robin, looking like she wanted to say something but wasn’t sure how.
Robin kept it short. “Just say it.”
“Oh…” Monica grabbed the hem of her clothes. “Robin, I’m not that tired. Can I go out and look around? I can scout the area.”

She knew from the start that this girl was arobitious, strong–willed, held herself to a high standard, and knew exactly what she wanted. If she kept going like this, her future would be limitless.
Since she was this driven. Robin had no reason to stand in her way. “If you think you can handle it. then go for it. But stay safe out there”
Monica’s eyes lit up immediately. She said excitedly. “Okay!”
During the chaotic fight with the zombies, she had earned the most points.
But for Monica, it still wasn’t enough. Not even close!
Robin’s system at Shangri–La was fair. As long as she had enough points, she could exchange them for anything she wanted.
Unlike money before the apocalypse, as long as she worked for it, she would definitely get rewarded. Every point she earned went straight to her–no middleman taking a cut. She was fired up!
Over the past few days, everyone had seen just how much of a workaholic Monica was. Seeing that she still had no intention of resting, the others started getting restless too.
They rarely got the chance to come out, so they wanted to maximize their points. They couldn’t just sit around and slack off!
“I–I’ll go too. I’m not that tired either,” Jerome said, standing up.
Drake and Martin exchanged a look. “We’re going too.”
One after another, more people stood up, saying they wanted to go scout other areas.
Robin gave them all the green light.
Why would she stop them?
Earlier, she hadn’t let them move on their own because it was their first real time going out to earn points, and their first real fight. She knew they’d be nervous, and their movements would be a little clunky.
