End Times, Surviving with My Beastly Army
Chapter 176 Worth Their Value
Robin’s eyes lit up. “Really How much farther than before?”
Finished
Oscar didn’t really understand distance. He thought for a moment, then stood up and ran from one side of the street to the other. “About this much!”
Robin glanced over and realized it was roughly 65 feet.
And this wasn’t just 65 feet in a straight line. Oscar’s ability range was a circle, meaning the radius itself had expanded by 65 feet.
That was no small improvement. So, the Mental Amplification Serum had produced an effect this good on its very first use. Robin finally understood, in a deeply visceral way what the system meant by “worth their
value.”
Oscar looked up expectantly. “Robin, are we going to keep practicing today?”
“No need today,” Robin said, shaking her head.
She did want him to improve, but she also understood the principle of moderation.
Too much of a good thing could backfire. Everything had limits. Otherwise, it would turn into the opposite of progress.
As for the Mental Amplification Serum…
Over these five days, she was going to squeeze every last point out of everyone under her. Not earning enough points? No coming back.
Of course, the more points they earned, the more they benefited too.
Mutual win–win. It would be a bright future for everyone.
Robin had already mentally painted a very big, very beautiful, future plan” for all of them.
The light rain continued for three days. While the others went out hunting zombies and earning points, Robin spent each day training Oscar’s mental ability.
And as expected, he improved rapidly.
On the fourth day, the rain finally stopped.
Sunlight spilled through the windows. The long–missed brightness lifted everyone’s mood and even made killing zombies feel more motivating.
Robin took Oscar out again, while Vivian and Cotton stayed behind to guard the hospital as usual.
“I feel like I can see farther again!” Oscar said excitedly.
In just three days, his detection range had expanded from a 30–foot radius to a 105–foot radius.

Chapter 126 Worth Their Valué
The Meutal Amplification Serum had played a huge role in that, but Oscar’s own effort was just as important.
Psychic ability users were already powerful, but notoriously slow to improve.
Finished
If you ignored the 65–feet boost from the serum, the remaining increase was entirely his own growth.
It had only been three days.
Most psychic ability users would struggle to improve even a fraction of that in ten days or half a month, but Oscar had done it in three days.
Which meant one thing: he wasn’t just talented, but he was also a genius.
And not only talented, but he was hardworking too.
Even though he was still a child, he never acted spoiled. Every training session left him drenched in sweat. His parents had already cried more than once watching him push himself so hard.
Oscar, however, would always comfort them instead. “I’ll work harder and harder so I can protect you both in the future!”
His parents were both relieved and heartbroken. They did not know what to say to him.
Right now, seeing his flushed, excited face, Robin didn’t hold back her praise. “You’re amazing, Ozzie.”
“Hehehe.”
He covered his face and giggled.
Then suddenly, he paused. “Robin, I think I just saw some gray dots passing by over there.”
“Gray dots?”
Robin immediately understood. Gray meant humans.
“You can tell where they went?”
Oscar shook his head. “No. They were just at the edge of my range. They passed by too quickly.”
Robin frowned slightly. There weren’t many people left outside now, but the survivors of Klam were still scattered around.
It was possible that those were just passing survivors.
But then, Jerry the giant rat suddenly became agitated, squeaking rapidly.
“Jerry?”
Robin’s expression turned sharp. “Their target is the hospital.”
She patted Oscar’s head. “We’re heading back.”
