End Times, Surviving with My Beastly Army novel Chapter 222

Chapter 222 Invisibility

Hector’s top priority now was to steady Chad. Only then would he have time to deal with his own problems.

Chad gave him a long, meaningful look No one could tell what he was thinking. Hector’s heart tightened. He quickly put on an angry face. “Commander Moody, I’ve followed you for years. Don’t you know what kind of person I am? Don’t let her fool you!”

Chad slowly pulled his gaze back. “Of course I trust you.

“And as for this woman trying to turn us against each other…” His voice turned cold. “I won’t let her off so easily.”

He raised his hand–and brought it down.

Gunfire exploded. Flames burst from the muzzles. Bullets rained down in an instant.

Robin lifted her hand and swept it through the air. A solid wall of ice appeared out of nowhere, blocking the storm of bullets.

“So, this is your ability…” Chad’s eyes lit up, then he shook his head with regret. “What a pity. Since you won’t work for me, I’ll just have to destroy you.”

The room quickly turned into chaos.

More than a dozen soldiers rushed forward. They were/veterans of countless battles, and about half of them had abilities. Every move they made was deadly.

But Chad’s smile soon faded.

Hector had told him Robin was strong.

But he hadn’t expected her to be this strong–far beyond anything he imagined.

Last time, Hector had failed with a large group only because those people were too weak.

But today’s guards were the elite soldiers in the base. Taking down five people should have been easy.

Yet as Chad watched the fight, he slowly sat up straight.

Robin only had five people.

They had more than a dozen.

And still, not a single one of Robin’s group looked nervous.

Robin herself was terrifying. Her combat skills were sharp and precise, and she used two abilities with case.

The girl beside her looked small and thin—but she could lift a man over six feet tall with one hand.

As for the handsome man who barely spoke—he was even more frightening. He didn’t seem to use any flashy moves, but it was like he could see the future. Every attack against him was easily avoided.

By reading tiny shifts in their eyes and muscles, Dylan could predict their next move without effort.
