Chapter 269 Crushing the Horde
Henry tilted his head and looked at Klay. “Ready?”
Klay gave a quiet nod. “Ready.”

Flames burst to life around him. Henry’s eyes sharpened, and a wall of fire shot downward, sweeping across the ground like a blazing wave.
Monica gripped her triangular bayonet. Then she vanished. In the blink of an eye, she reappeared inside the zombie horde. Her figure flickered in and out, like a ghost moving through shadows.
“Woohoo!!!”
Vivian shouted, thrilled. “Now this is fun!”
She pointed up at the sky. “Everyone–go! Take them down!”
A loud hum filled the air.
More animals answered her call. They poured in from all directions, so many that they nearly drowned the zombies.
The situation flipped in an instant.
Everyone watched in shock as Robin and her team joined the fight. The endless swarm of zombies suddenly seemed to shrink, as if a huge chunk had been wiped out at once.
“They…”
David stared at the scene, shaken beyond words.
Is this really something a human can do?!
Why is every single one of them so strong?!
David finally understood. The gap between him and the real powerhouse was a world away.
The ability users he had once convinced were all stunned too.
No wonder Robin looked down on them.
Compared to these people, all their shouting and big talk felt like kids playing pretend.
Regret hit them all at once.
So this… this is what real strength looks like.
If they had known how powerful these people were, why did they ever follow David?
Following a powerhouse like Robin and her group was promising.

Chapter 269 Crushing the Horde
More than a few started to rethink their choices.
And of course, David could see exactly what they were thinking.
His face darkened. Then suddenly, something clicked in his mind.
If one person was this strong–fine, that could happen. But all of them?
That meant they had some way to boost their power.

He thought back to the strange potions Robin had handed out earlier. His eyes grew cold.
If he was right, their power probably had something to do with those potions.
If he could get his hands on them…
With his talent, he was sure he could outclass everyone else.
To be fair, he was smart. He had spotted the key in a very short time.
But sometimes, being clever in the wrong direction only brings trouble.
Boom!!!
A deafening explosion shook the ground. Purple lightning burst across the zombie horde. Thin silver streaks crawled over their rotting bodies like snakes. The weaker zombies turned into charred remains almost instantly.
The attack was powerful and wide.
Level 2 zombies that didn’t die right away were paralyzed. Their bodies locked up, unable to move.
Monica and the others didn’t hold back. The group moved in and finished off their opponents without hesitation.
Isaac and Otto watched, eyes filling with tears.
They knew it. With Robin and her team here, they were truly saved.

The survivors, who had been pushing themselves to the limit, finally gave out. It felt like all their strength had been drained. One by one, they collapsed to the ground.
“Commander, where did you find them?”
A woman who had almost followed David but turned back because of Robin sat down hard on the ground. She didn’t even have the strength to speak properly.
After such a brutal fight, Domingo was exhausted too, but he was still standing.
He gave a bitter smile. “Honestly, it’s kind of embarrassing. At first, we were planning to take their supplies by force.”
The woman’s eyes went wide. “What?!”
