Back at the granary, Robin had never revealed that she also possessed a space ability.

Having both lightning and ice abilities was already shocking enough. A dual–ability user like that was unheard of.

He turned around. At the four corners of the room stood four figures dressed entirely in black. Their faces were covered with dark masks, revealing only sharp, hawk–like eyes. Their bodies radiated a dangerous aura. He shouted again, “Go now!”

The four black–clad figures exchanged glances without speaking, then leaped out through the window.

Watching their figures quickly disappear, Jack finally felt slightly reassured.

The goateed middle–aged man beside him comforted him, “Mr. Jack, there’s really no need to panic. Spring, Summer, Autumn, and Winter are our base C–grade experimental subjects. Each one has combat strength comparable to a Level 5 zombie. With the four of them, Robin definitely won’t survive!”

Even so, Jack still felt restless.

He had already witnessed Robin’s strength before. He once thought her dual abilities were her limit, yet now a space ability had appeared as well.

The goateed man’s expression relaxed. “So that’s what you meant. As expected of you, Mr. Jack. I overthought it.”

Jealousy burned fiercely inside Jack.

He only had a single ability. Though his talent was decent, in the Highly competitive Vernon Base, his strength ranked only slightly above average.

If not for his status as a member of the Neels, he might not even be standing where he was now.

His once luxurious life had been shattered by the sudden arrival of the apocalypse, leaving him mentally unbalanced.
