Its broken body rolled across the ground a few times. Then, in a crooked, unnatural way, it slowly stood back up–and rushed at them again, refusing to give up.
Bang!
Before it could get close, Tim leaned halfway out the car window and swung his baseball bat hard at its head.
He used a lot of force. With a sharp crack, the zombie’s head snapped backward at a ninety–degree angle. Its neck was clearly broken.
But even like that, it still staggered forward in that horrifying pose, trying to get a bite of fresh flesh.
“Annoying as hell,” Tim muttered.
He didn’t have Ella’s insane strength, and he didn’t have Dane’s powerful ability. All he had was his own physical strength, so he couldn’t kill in one hit.
“Ghh!”
Tim quickly dodged the zombie’s claw swipe. Then he pulled a screwdriver from his pocket, aimed eye, and stabbed it in hard.
Squish!
The gray–white eyeball burst like a balloon. Strange gas and thick fluid sprayed out at the same time.
Tim stayed calm. He shoved the screwdriver deep into its brain and started stirring.
It felt like mixing food.
The zombie’s arms dropped weakly, and all life left its body.
“0.5 system shop point.”
Hearing the system’s voice in her head, Robin sat up straight. “Need a break?”

They had already killed over seventy zombies on the way here. The closer they got to the city, the more blocked the roads became–and the more zombies appeared.
At first, the road had been clear. Now, they had to stop often just to move abandoned cars and deal with wandering zombies.
“No.”
Tim took a deep breath, his eyes firm.
He had always been competitive. He refused to slow the team down or become the weak link.
Robin was about to say something, but her eyes suddenly caught sight of something–a large truck flipped onto its side. The words “Voyage Express” stood out clearly.

Robin’s eyes lit up. She made a quick decision. “Let’s get out. There have to be a lot of supplies in that truck.”
They parked the car and walked toward the overturned truck.
Ella smashed the lock with one punch. Then she shouted, “Oh my God, Robin! It’s packed with packages!” Without waiting, she grabbed one, tore it open–and found a bag of Hot Cheetos inside.
Just seeing the bright red color made her mouth water. She could almost taste the spicy crunch.
Sure, they hadn’t lacked food during this past month at their base, but life just wasn’t complete without junk food.
Robin reminded them, “We can’t carry everything from a full truck in one go. Open the packages and
what’s inside. Throw away anything useless. I’ll check the front and see if the truck still runs. If it doe
just drive it back.”
Ella cheered, clearly excited.
Girls loved opening packages. And with a whole truck full of mystery boxes, it felt even more thrilling.
