But there was no flaw.
She acted as if she did not recognize him at all.
“Tatiana, drop this charade.”

She struggled in panic, shouting, “Sir, let go of me! Help! Help me, I don’t know him! Help!”
Her voice drew the attention of the surrounding people.
But seeing Jasper’s intimidating demeanor and the menacing bodyguards, the passersby dared not step forward to help.
Some kind people took out their phones to take photos and call the police.
Noticing the crowd gathering, Felix stepped forward and whispered, “Boss, people are starting to gather. Maybe we should move this elsewhere.”
Jasper released her hand and looked at her intently. “Tatiana, come back with me.”
She maintained her look of fear. “Sir, I don’t know you. I won’t go with you. I need to go home.”

darkened. “Go home? Which home?”
Just as he spoke, Jaime, worried because she hadn’t returned, happened to be feeling her way over. “Why are you out here?”
Tatiana quickly rushed to support Jaime. “Why did you come out?”
“I was worried because you hadn’t come back yet. Are you all right? And who is this?”
Before Tatiana could speak, Jasper suddenly interjected, “Her husband.”
Her eyes widened abruptly, nearly giving away the fact that she hadn’t lost her memory.
Jaime was stunned. “You are Cindy’s husband?”
“I am.”
Legally, they had not completed the final divorce procedure, so they were still married.
Jaime looked at Tatiana. “Cindy, is this…?”
She instantly denied it. “I don’t know him!”

Jaime was also half–skeptical. After all, this man was too handsome and had such a powerful presence; he didn’t look like an ordinary person.
“Cindy, come over here! You won’t be able to bully her!”
Jasper, however, said calmly, “She has three moles on her chest.”
Tatiana truly couldn’t keep up the act anymore. She abruptly turned and stared at him, her eyes filled with shock.
How did he know something so private?
When Jaime carried the unconscious Tatiana home, she had washed her body and had therefore seen the three small moles on her chest. They were so inconspicuous that someone who wasn’t very intimate with her would not have noticed them.
Jaime immediately believed him, beaming with a smile. “You really are Cindy’s husband! You’re so handsome and capable. Why did it take you so long to find her?”
Tatiana was unable to offer any defense.
Jasper said naturally, “She went missing, and I’ve been searching for her.”
“Well, you’ve finally found her! Come in and sit, have some tea. You’re not in a rush to leave, are you?”
Jasper nodded. “No rush.”
Jaime was overjoyed and even warmly pulled his hand, leading him toward the house.
Felix was dumbfounded. He hadn’t expected the boss to actually follow her in, and he quickly brought the bodyguards along.
But when they saw the concrete house piled high with scrap, they stopped.
This–there was no room to stand. How could anyone live here?
Tatiana knew he had a severe obsession with cleanliness and immediately said, “Grandma, he’s not from around here. He’s not accustomed to…”
Jasper reached out directly and steadied the precarious stack of cardboard boxes, even reorganizing them slightly, completely disregarding the smudges on his expensive suit.
After arranging them, he added a word of caution, “You can’t leave them like this. Piling them too high will cause them to scatter; it’s very dangerous.”

Jaime was even more delighted and patted Tatiana’s hand. “Not accustomed? He’s clearly a great help with chores, very efficient! Hurry inside and sit! Cindy, go boil some water.”
Tatiana sighed. She did not refuse and turned to boil the water.
Jasper surveyed the house, which was packed full of scrap. There was almost no open space. The only clear area held a wobbly table with a broken leg and a few faded plastic stools.
Every piece of furniture in this home was salvaged scrap. The place was utterly destitute, visibly poor.
Jasper could not imagine how Tatiana could survive in such a place.
Even if her identity was revealed later, she had lived for eighteen years as the Lowell family’s eldest daughter and had never suffered hardship.
The environment here was even dirtier and more chaotic than the Zion couple’s house.
“Young man, what should I call you?”
“Jasper. Just call me Jasper.”
Jaime refused to be formal. She opened her mouth and asked, “Why did it take you so long to find her here? Your wife was missing for so long; weren’t you worried?”
He paused, then lied without changing his expression. “I’ve been looking for her for a long time and only just found her now. How did you come across her?”
“You mean Cindy? I picked her up. She had fainted right outside the door, so I brought her back. Oh, you don’t know how serious her condition was then! Her face was covered in blood! She was just barely clinging to life, like a little kitten. It was heartbreaking!”
Jaime’s tone was full of distress, recalling how terrifying the girl’s bloodied face had been that day.
Jasper’s eyes turned cold, and he immediately pressed for details.
Jaime now had a very good impression of him, believing he was concerned about his wife. She immediately recounted the situation from back then, and also talked about their life over the past few days. Her every word was full of praise for Tatiana.
