Lindsey was moved to her very core by those words. The weight she had been carrying for so long finally lifted, replaced by a warm, gentle smile.

With her heart at peace, Lindsey’s sadness vanished, though she still insisted that Tatiana sign the papers to take over everything. She framed it simply:

“I’m getting older, and I no longer have the strength to manage these things. I just want to enjoy my remaining years in peace. You’re young; this belongs to you now.”

Left with no other choice, Tatiana signed her name.

Overnight, Madam Lindsey’s vast holdings quietly changed hands.

When Tammy found out, she clicked her tongue in amazement. “As if you weren’t loaded enough already. Now you’re just showing off.”

Naturally, Tammy moved into the estate with Tatiana. The elderly matriarch took an immediate liking to her; she appreciated Tammy’s vibrant health, her infectious energy, and especially how wonderful she was with the children.

They moved in without notifying a soul. This left the local elite, who had been waiting with bated breath, utterly disappointed. Behind closed doors, they gossiped about how the new owner lacked class for skipping such a standard social milestone as a housewarming gala.

Still, that didn’t stop them from continuing to mock the Lund family.

Holton couldn’t stand the slight. He sent his secretary to the front gates to request a formal meeting. To his shock, they weren’t even allowed past the entrance.

“I am representing the Lund family. I am here to pay my respects to the master of the house. Please announce my arrival.”

“No visitors.”

The guard didn’t even bother with polite formalities.

It was a blatant slap in the face to the Lund family. To make matters worse, word of the rejection leaked. Within hours, they were the laughingstock of the city.

“This is an outrage! Find out exactly who is behind those gates!” Holton roared.

The investigation was loud enough to catch Tatiana’s attention immediately.

She didn’t consider them even a minor threat, and while she didn’t mind them flailing about, that didn’t mean they could do whatever they pleased.

She gave a casual order to her subordinates: “Give them a small lesson.”

This was a triviality she didn’t give a second thought to. However, a conversation with her grandmother soon occupied her mind.

“Tatiana, I’ve been watching Ann and Hubert. They seem so lonely. They’re too mature, too sensible. They don’t act like children at all, and I worry that isn’t healthy.”

Tatiana paused. She realized her grandmother was right. Ann and Hubert were always around adults; they were brilliant and easy to care for, but she had overlooked the fact that they lacked any sense of childhood whimsy.

They were only four years old, yet they conducted themselves like they were fourteen.

“I think it’s best if they make some friends their own age,” Lindsey continued. “I don’t want them becoming too isolated.”

Tatiana nodded. “I’ll look into it.”

Sending them to a local preschool was out of the question. The curriculum wouldn’t even begin to challenge their intellect, and it would be a waste of time–not to mention a security risk.

After some thought, she decided to host a small gathering.

She let the word out: a party would be held at the estate next Wednesday.

The news sent shockwaves through Bellwood’s high society. Everyone had been dying for a chance to meet the mysterious new owner, and here was the opportunity they’d been waiting for!

But when the specific requirements were released, everyone was floored.

“Only children between the ages of three and seven? They must be well–behaved, intelligent, and have no history of behavioral issues?”

“What is this? A playdate?”

“The owner of Sunny Estate must be insane! She hasn’t set foot outside or met a single adult, but she wants to meet a bunch of kids? She won’t last long in this town with that attitude!”

Despite their confusion and grumbling, they were all very quick to start vetting the children in their own families. They were far too curious about this eccentric, mysterious buyer to pass it

One luxury car after another pulled up to Sunny Estate, carrying the city’s youngest heirs. Almost as soon as the children stepped out, the air was filled with gasps of wonder.

“Whoa!”

Even these children, who had seen it all, were stunned by the sight.

The main gates had been transformed into the entrance of a grand fairy–tale castle. Beyond the gates, the trees lining the path were adorned with colorful balloons shaped like exotic animals. The ground was covered in LED screens with 3D projections that were so dazzling they made the children shriek in delight–especially when the floor ‘turned into‘ a steep cliff.

The house itself looked like something straight out of a storybook. It captured the children’s hearts instantly.

“It’s so pretty!”

“It’s a giant castle!”

“I want to live here too!”

Tatiana had personally overseen the decorations for this children’s gala, putting her heart into every detail. A long wooden table draped in white silk was laden with an endless variety of desserts and cakes, each one more exquisitely crafted and adorable than the last.

Every child was given an ‘entry ticket‘ with several empty slots. If they collected enough stamps, they would win a mysterious grand prize.
