Tammy thought about Norman’s body and gave a guilty little nod.

Once they had the plan, Sandra dragged her straight to the biggest mall in the area to start hunting for clothes.

‘First times have to be romantic. You can’t just jump him. You need a vibe. You need the right atmosphere to actually get in the mood.”

Tammy took it all in.

‘Step one is looking your best. You have the body for a slip dress.”

Sandra grabbed a thin, black silk gown. The fabric was the kind that hugged every single curve. Most women would be terrified to wear something that revealing, but not Tammy. The second she put it on, everything was on display. The waist, the chest, the legs. It was enough to make any woman jealous.

‘Too much fabric. Try this one. The one with the straps.”

It was a black silk dress with a tiny ribbon at the neck. The hem was jagged and short on one side, showing off her legs every time she moved. It was a total head–turner.

Sandra grinned. “This is it!”

Tammy went to pay. While she was at it, Sandra picked out some black velvet stilettos. “My treat. Hope you get lucky tonight!”

After the dress, they hit a salon. They straightened Tammy’s hair, making it look sleek and dangerous. Then came the makeup.

By the time they were done, she was a different person. The shop manager even tried to ask for a photo for their wall, but Tammy shut that down.

Every person they passed on the street turned to look. After turning down the tenth guy asking for her number, Tammy was losing her patience.

Sandra just laughed. “It means you’ve got it. Your husband is going to lose his mind tonight! Oh, and don’t forget these.”

Sandra slid a small, mysterious bag over. Tammy took one look inside and her face went weird. There was barely enough fabric in there to cover anything.

Sandra had thought of everything. Tammy thanked her. “I owe you one. Seriously.”

Sandra left, and Tammy headed toward the restaurant, calling Norman on the way. She gave him the address and told him to meet her.

Norman sounded surprised. “I thought you were with your friend.”

“She had to go early,” she lied. “I’m buying you dinner. Get here fast.”

“Alright. I’m on my way.”

He sounded sweet on the phone, but the second he hung up, that warmth died. He looked at the man standing in front of him with ice in his eyes. “I told you not to come looking for me.”

James looked nervous. “Sir, I wouldn’t be here if it wasn’t a mess. You have to handle this yourself.”

“I’m busy. Go home.”

“Sir, this is an emergency!”

James didn’t waste time and laid out the situation. Norman’s face went dark as he toyed with his glass, saying nothing.

James pushed his luck. “Sir, I know you don’t care about the Cole family right now, but you will regret this once your memory comes back. You spent years on this. You’re right at the finish line. Are you really going to let someone else walk away with the prize?”

Norman didn’t answer. As ‘Bovine,‘ he didn’t care. But as ‘Norman‘? He knew he’d been left for dead in the freezing cold. Could he really just let that go?

“When is the party?”

“Tonight.”

“Not tonight.”

“Sir, it has to be tonight.”

“I said no. I’m having dinner with my wife.”

He sounded pissed. James looked stunned. Hearing the word wife from Norman was surreal. This was a man who used to be cold, heartless, and never stuck with one woman. Amnesia must have really messed with his head.
