Philomena had always known about Norman’s reputation. He was famous for being a flirt who got bored fast. Almost none of his girlfriends lasted more than three months.
But she had still thrown herself into his arms without a second thought.
No woman could turn Norman down when he was actually trying.
She used to think she could. She used to look down on playboys like him. But between his incredible looks, those soulful eyes, and the way he spent money like water just to make her smile, she had folded.
After just one month with him, she had landed a Best Supporting Actress nomination for an overseas blockbuster, something she hadn’t even dared to dream about before. Not to mention the endless resources and collaborations with major industry veterans.
More importantly, the people who used to look down on her and bully her had suddenly become friendly and respectful.
She knew exactly why. They were doing it for Norman.
It was almost impossible to resist that kind of power.
She was no exception. No matter how much she told herself she was only in it for the career boost, she couldn’t stop herself from catching feelings.
She fell for him. She was even ready to leave the entertainment industry for him, but before she could say anything, Norman vanished.
Rumors said he went back to Hindersville and went completely off the grid.
She had waited for him, frantic with worry.
Then the Cole family fell into chaos. Word on the street was that Norman was dead, and just like that, her biggest protector was gone.
People started treating her like garbage again. Worse than before, actually.
She lost one endorsement deal after another. Her life was falling apart.
So when she heard Norman would be at this Dark Night gala, she flew to Bellwood immediately. She used every trick in the book to sneak into the party.
She finally found him.
But his attitude was nothing like what she expected.
“Norman?”
Norman looked away. “Don’t bother. We’re over.”
These sluts are so boring. Nine out of ten things they say are lies.
Chapter 513 The Breakup
The last one is usually a half–truth.
She’s nowhere near as sincere or cute as my wife.
He thought about it for a second and added, “Don’t ever show up in front of me again.
Philomena turned deathly pale under her mask. She looked like she was about to collapse. “Norman… I don’t agree to this… I don’t want to break up. Please, let’s not end it.”
The people nearby had already made themselves scarce. They didn’t want to overhear something they weren’t supposed to, but they still caught that last part.
They couldn’t help but admire how cold–blooded he was.
This little starlet was gorgeous and had a killer body. Word was plenty of guys had tried to buy her time and she’d turned them all down, only ever willing to serve Norman.
And yet, she still got dumped.
Any tiny shred of doubt they had about his identity vanished. Besides the real Norman, who else could be this heartless?
Norman didn’t want to waste any more time. “Move.”
His ruthless, icy demeanor finally broke her. Philomena instinctively raised her hand as if she were going to slap the bastard.
But when she met his eyes, the sheer killing intent in them terrified her. Her hand froze in mid–air. Finally, she broke down in tears and ran off.
Norman let out a chuckle. What a hassle.
Good. I need to clear out these old flings before my wife finds out.
As for what happened before, I don’t remember it. I can’t be guilty for what I don’t know. She’ll forgive me.
Suddenly, the sound of glass shattering echoed through the room.
Everyone looked over to see a woman in a black dress facing off against a man.
“You ungrateful bitch!”
Women at these parties usually served one purpose: entertainment.
The man had been watching her for a while. He’d noticed her from the moment she stumbled in, looking unsteady on her feet.
She looked like a little lamb that had wandered into a wolf pack.
To his predatory eyes, a woman with a body like that was guaranteed to be a masterpiece under the mask. He had moved in to just take her.

Chapter 513 The Breakup
He hadn’t expected her to have such a temper. She had fought back before he even touched her.
She had almost taken his eye out.
“Pin her down!”
Tammy grit her teeth. She wanted to tear these people apart.
If her body hadn’t still been recovering, she could have leveled this entire place.
But right now, she was actually being held down by a few goons.
As she struggled, her mask slipped and hit the floor.
Her stunning, aggressive, and exotic beauty immediately stole the room’s attention.

The sight of her with her eyes flushed red, her breathing ragged, and a faint blush on her cheeks was incredibly provocative.
Greed quickly filled the man’s eyes. “With a face that beautiful, no wonder your claws are so sharp.”
Tammy took advantage of their distraction. She hitched up her skirt and lunged.
Her long legs swept through the air in a perfect arc, kicking one of the large men clear across the room.
The power and form were cleaner than any action star. It was a hell of a move.
But a second later, Tammy nearly hit the floor.
Her head was spinning. Damn this anesthesia!
“Whoa. She’s actually got some moves!”
