“My doctor told me to find a hobby and stick with it. I thought drawing was a good fit.”

“My therapist.”

“I promised you I’d respect you, that I’d change and start over. So I’ve been seeing someone. Her suggestions have been helpful.”

He really had changed. The fact that he could even admit to therapy was proof enough. In the past, their relationship was defined by force and obsession. His mind was never clear back then.

He actually liked the therapist’s advice. All the longing he couldn’t voice went into his art. Gradually, the extreme impulses that used to control him had begun to fade.

Tatiana tucked the sketchbook away and ignored his flirting. Jasper hadn’t expected a few drawings to win her over instantly anyway.

She sat back in her seat and stared out the window. Her face was unreadable. She just tapped her fingers lightly against the cover of the book.

I have to admit it.

As the plane cut through the clouds, sunlight suddenly flooded the cabin and illuminated the four of them. Ann was nodding off against her shoulder, while Hubert was excitedly pointing at the coastline outside.
