Chapter 124 Sit Down or Be Taken Down
The executive choked
Vincent jumped in with a smile. “People always compar options before invering, right? That means your interest is justified. The more buyers at the table, the more valuable the product Win–win”
He looked relaxed. “Besides, if someone didn’t know better, they might think you’re scared of a little competition.”
Dorian narrowed his eyes. But he didn’t snap. “Big talk for someone from a family that’s already gone bankrupt once. Want a repeat performance?”
Vincent didn’t blink. “Everyone gets knocked down. Buhe Vale family—your empire’s spread so wide. you’d better watch your back. Can’t win every fight, especially the ones you fight with your life.”
Lucien looked tense. This guy knew. He knew about Southeast Asia. And he was bold enough to bring it up.
Dorian chuckled coldly. “Appreciate the concern. But the Vale family’s not going anywhere as long as I’m breathing. Unlike yours. If I wanted to crush you, it’d be like stepping on a bug.”
Vincent’s smile vanished. There was no competing with someone like Dorian. He was top ten in global wealth rankings. Ruthless. Backed by private armies. Guns, jets, advanced tech–you name it, he had it.
They stared each other down. Vincent looked away first. Just then, the door opened.
“Apologies for the wait,” came a deep voice.
Victor Langston, the CEO of Intervia Technologies walked in.
Dorian didn’t even look up. He flicked his lighter onto the table and said, “Was starting to think your company was already collapsing. Who makes a client wait and expects investment?”
His tone was ice.
“I’ll keep this simple. You want my money or his. Pick one. I don’t have time to waste.”
The room froze. Arden stepped in just in time to feel the chill in the air. Both men were seated. Victor stood awkwardly near the table.
Dorian saw Arden at the door and called out, “Come here.”
Victor turned, saw her, and frowned. She looked young, way too young to be part of the meeting. Then he glanced at Dorian–rumored to be emotionally unavailable and famously uninterested in women.
He turned to his assistant. “You let Mr. Vale’s assistant fetch his coffee herself? He’s a VIP.”
Dorian smirked. “I told her to. I only drink the coffee she makes.”
Vincent glanced at Arden walking in, cup in hand. He smiled. “Arden, ever consider switching jobs? I’ve got an office in Avalen, in your field. I’ll double your current salary.”
Dorian’s face went dead cold. “You think I’m short on cash? You’re poaching talent right in front of me? Get in line. She’s not going anywhere.”
Vincent just looked at Arden, then back at Dorian. “I wasn’t talking to you. I was asking Arden. She’s your

employee, not your possession. If she quits, it’s not your call
Dorian turned to Arden. His eyes were unreadable. Too much emotion, too tightly leashed. His voice was hard, Try it. Go work for Vincent.”
She bent forward and placed the cup in front of him. “Back, no sugar”
Then she turned to Vincent. “Sorry, but I like my team Vale Group. They’ve been really good to me.
Clark, Sienna, and Talia had all been kind and helpful. She didn’t want to leave.
Dorian’s hand relaxed on the pen he’d been clutching. is posture melted back into its usual lazy sprawl, smug and satisfied.
He looked at Vincent. “You hear that? She said no. Try again, and I’ll poach your entire damn staff.”
Victor sat there sweating bullets. He hadn’t expected a full–on alpha standoff over a junior employee.
Dorian turned his gaze back to him. “So, who’s it going to be, Victor? Me or him?”
Victor had planned to play them off each other for a better deal. But Dorian wasn’t bluffing. He didn’t play
