He bit down on his cigarette and asked, “Which country? Soutaria, Merovia, or somewhere else?”

“Most likely Soutaria,” Cassian replied.

Dorian narrowed his eyes. “Can you identify who’s behind it?”

“Still working on it.”

“I owe you a drink,” Dorian said.

After a brief pause, Cassian dropped a bomb.

“Dorian,” he asked, “three years ago, did you really believe Arden pushed Vivienne?”

“The video was clear,” Dorian replied. “Back then, Arden was desperate to marry me. She knew Vivienne and I grew up together. It wouldn’t be strange for her to act out.”

Cassian clicked his tongue. “Your wife looks too gentle for that.”

Dorian said nothing. Over the past few days, Arden had been exactly that. Gentle in a way that made people want to protect her.

Maybe that was why the entire family had ended up listening to her.

Cassian continued, “Someone sent me another video, anonymous. Shot from a third angle. It’s crystal clear. Vivienne stopped Arden, talked to her for a bit, and when she saw you coming, she grabbed Arden’s hand and used the angle to fake a fall down the stairs.”

Cassian was genuinely curious to see how Dorian would react once he learned the truth.

He added deliberately, “Arden didn’t push her. She even tried to help her up after she fell. You misunderstood your wife for three years.”

Dorian’s hand tightened against the railing. His throat bobbed. “What did you say?”

Cassian repeated calmly, “I said you misunderstood her. She never pushed Vivienne.”

He scoffed. “That childhood sweetheart of yours is ruthless. Who knows if that baby was even yours. Maybe she never planned to keep it, just wanted your sympathy.”

After dropping the photos in the chat, Vivienne tagged Jane, “You still have Elise’s WhatsApp, right?”

The reply came quickly. “I do.”

“Then post all these photos and that video on your WhatsApp status,” Vivienne said.

Jane hesitated. “And that project my family was bidding for?”

“Once it’s up, the company will sign with you.”

“Done.”

Vivienne had always been calculated. She used a dummy account, so Jane had no idea who she really was.

Three years ago, Arden’s family had kept things quiet. Elise never knew about what had happened between her daughter and Vivienne. If she had, she would never have let her precious girl marry Dorian.

Back then, Arden had only wanted to save the Wynn family.

And she’d met Dorian once before, years earlier. She was only thirteen when he saved her by chance. He was nineteen, already over six feet tall, with sharp features and an intimidating presence. He’d looked like a knight out of nowhere, and in that moment, her heart had raced like crazy.

So when she turned eighteen, right as the Wynn Group collapsed, and Dorian’s grandmother came to her with his photo, promising five billion to save her family–she didn’t think twice.

She thought she was marrying a hero.

But she didn’t know then that Dorian was cold, detached, and didn’t care.

So when Jane posted that video, it didn’t take long before someone tagged Elise.

Elise had a good man. Gareth had never strayed, never cheated. He adored her and protected her fiercely.
