Third Person’s POV

It was that same automated female voice again.

At this point, no matter how much she didn’t want to admit it, Vivian couldn’t deny the cold, hard truth: Mortimer had blocked her.

Mortimer-the man who had always catered to her every whim and let her get away with absolutely anything-had blocked her!

“How is this possible? How could this happen…”

Vivian collapsed onto the rug, completely unable to wrap her head around it.

He had spoiled her so rotten over the years that she couldn’t fathom the idea of the high-and-mighty Alpha suddenly revoking

all her special privileges.

She scrambled to grab her phone, opened her messaging app, and stubbornly shot Mortimer a text. She fell back on what she did best-playing the victim to trigger his protective instincts.

“Mortimer, I’m out of the detention center. It was so horrible and scary in there. I feel completely off. Can you go with me to see my therapist for a check-up later?”

“Mom and Dad went to the Healing Center to be with my brother. I’m too scared to go alone. I’m so terrified.”

After firing off the two texts, she stared dead at her screen, not even daring to blink.

But a minute passed. Then ten minutes.

After waiting a full half-hour, Vivian still hadn’t gotten a single word back from him.

Her face grew uglier and darker by the minute, her entire body rádiating a neurotic, explosive rage.

Even the maids who came upstairs to clean caught a glimpse of her twisted, demonic expression. Terrified, they held their breath and backed out of the room trembling, not daring to make a peep.

Two days later.

Seraphina looked at the evening gown Tade had just delivered, a complicated look on her face.

“Madam, tonight is the Craig Corporation’s eightieth-anniversary gala. The guest list is packed with VIPS from both the business and political worlds. As the Luna of the Blades, you need to accompany Alpha Mortimer to the banquet tonight.”

“Alpha Mortimer picked out this gown just for you. A professional stylist will be here soon to get you ready, so you don’t need to worry about a thing.”

The eightieth anniversary of the Craig Corporation. Seraphina knew this was a huge deal.

She had heard Edwin mention it months ago, and Mortimer had brought it up again when he dropped Dash off yesterday.

Ever since they laid everything out on the table, Mortimer had practically been avoiding her on purpose. Whenever he brought Dash back, he would leave on his own before she even had to ask him to go.

It honestly saved her a lot of hassle.

“But I don’t know the first thing about your company. If I go to this gala, aren’t I just going to mess things up?” Seraphina asked, looking a bit hesitant.

“Don’t worry about it, Madam. Alpha Mortimer has everything handled. All you have to do is show up. Leave the rest to him.”

Since Tade put it that way, Seraphina nodded and accepted the dress.

“Just hang tight for a bit, Madam. The stylist will be right at your door. I’ll get out of your hair now.”

“Alright. Take care, Tade.”

“You’re too kind, Madam.”

Before leaving, Tade even made sure to say goodbye to Dash, who was busy playing with a ball on the floor. “Dash, I’ll take my leave now.”

Seraphina watched him leave, feeling totally speechless.

Not long after Tade left, the stylist arrived.

She helped Seraphina slip into the gown. “Luna Seraphina, your figure is incredible. This dress has a simple design, but it really takes someone with the right aura to pull it off.”

The stylist gushed, “Seeing it on you, it completely shows off the true value and beauty of the design.”

Seraphina, however, felt a little uncomfortable.

The gown Mortimer had picked definitely fit her tastes.

It was a long, moonlight-white dress with a sleek, clean cut.

It looked simple at first glance, but every single inch showed off the designer’s meticulous attention to detail.

The entire piece was made from ultra-expensive, traditional silk, giving it a cool, elegant, yet understated vibe.

It draped perfectly, yet felt incredibly light on her body-not heavy or bulky at all.
